Seat Counters - 2024/25

Interesting that the take up is slow.
Our supporters club has about 300 members, no coach to this as only 25 wanted
a ticket through the club.
Some may of course buy their own.
We have had 100 plus want tickets, particularly for a final, but we clearly have many fans who just don’t bother?!

I think we have a huge number of fans with total apathy, if Newcastle were in our position and it was there 30th trip in 15 years they would still sell out to season ticket holders and be buzzing to make a day of it. We are going to be relying on a huge turnout from the members and the much maligned tourists if our end is not to be embarrassing

Manner from heaven for the club bean counters.

I'm not sure they would if that was the case. If it was their 30th trip in 15 years you'd think they would have won a few more trophies, so likely acquired their own tourists to take up any slack caused by apathy.

i disagree, when they come down to London they make a weekend of it, i know for a fact they would have sold more than 10000 to supporters clubs and virtually all the season ticket holders.

So do we on the whole. You can't count their recent cup finals as don't forget they hadn't won a trophy since 1969, of course everybody wanted to be there in case they won one. Also don't forget they were averaging about 20,000 fans before Keegan kick started their revival.

When the club treat the fans with contempt it's often the case.

Are the tickets transferable? My mate wants to come with me but is not a member. I know someone who’s not going who has a season ticket if he can transfer.

We seem to have lost that collective excitement as a fanbase, the disconnect seems huge at the moment.

A bit of staleness was inevitable after such sustained success. We have probably built the fanbase/tourist enough now to sell out these games though as we did the charity shield a lot of regulars boycotted.

so how do we get the buzz back, those who travelled to Bournemouth have the team incredible backing, desperate for City to win the cup, maybe our fanbase is devoid of huge numbers of really passionate fans.

No it's not, away games always have pretty passionate support. If you're taking 30,000+ to an away game it will be diluted a little. The atmosphere against the rags when we won the treble was amazing.

Let’s say 13,000 season ticket holders are going to Wembley (optimistic). Thats 1 in 3. Two thirds of our core fans, who are dedicated enough to own a season ticket, aren’t going to Wembley for a semi final that’s our only possibility of winning a trophy this season. If that’s not ringing alarm bells for someone I don’t know what will.

I think it's a bit to do with having reached the mountain top after winning the treble, I mean everything's gonna be slightly down hill from there isn't it, coz the first time you do something is really special isn't it and it's never quite the same again.....I mean yeah if Newcastle go to the league cup final next year, they will still be excited but you can bet it won't be quite as special, then if do they four in a row it defo will lose it's edge, as they cast their eyes to the bigger prizes .....but having said all that I'm still excited for the semi final, coz as the past 6 months have shown, you never know when it will all end
