Seat Counters - 2024/25

This will be the first FA Cup semi-final played in front of fans that I'll have missed at the new Wembley as I'll be on a lads jolly in Palma Nova....."If you're watching in Majorca you're a ****" ;) A cynic might say why book a holiday on FA Cup semi-final weekend and I have to hold my hands up on that - when we booked it last August, it never occurred to me that the FAC SF would be as late in the month as this so that's a bit of a schoolboy error on my part and I can only apologise for my non-attendance.

Despite all that, as a designated seat counter I think it would be wrong to down tools. I believe @Didsbury Dave is away too but he and I both know that we're under obligation to carry out our duties regardless of whether we'll be at the game or not.

Never understand why they don't put the whole allocation on sale as well, let people sit where they wish

I’m guessing that if there’s any chance a club might not sell out, that Wembley insists they don’t sell any in the blocks nearest the segregation.

That way they can give that block to the other team if need be.

Makes sense, if the alternative is having two blocks both only half full.

Club could've done free coaches instead of charging 55 quid. Went to Palace away at Doncaster in the cup this year cos a mate had a spare. They had done a load of free coaches for the fans going up from Selhurst park. I don't see why City couldn't do the same, sure it would be a lot more coaches and a lot more money spent than Palace, but it's not like we don't have the money. Would certainly shift a lot more tickets.

Standing by mate.

It’s not just that. It’s bars/stewards/staff.

Do not get touchy....there's a vast spectrum covering matchday members. I even put tourist in inverted commas.

I've just had a look at your post and I'm sure you know full well the type of occasional (through choice) fan I was referring to rather than a committed blue who isn't getting the breaks to be a SC holder.
lol, as I’m sure you probably know full well, starting a reply like that is likely to have exactly the consequence you are counselling against ;-)

But my post was really just a response to a more general trend of posts you see regularly, which use the (what I would view as lazy) shorthand of classifying our support into either ST holders or tourists. I’ve no idea how many citizen members the club has but I reckon it must be tens of thousands.

But point taken re the intention of your post. Anyway, I’m going so I’m happy.

they won't put Forest in our upper blocks, we have 9 days of selling to go yet, we will sell a good few next week as the game approaches we always do

I use to arrange my life around City fixtures back in the day , but as I got older I realised it’s not that important. If a I miss a game it’s no longer the end of the world . Enjoy your weekend on the beer .

531 open now, quite a few sold today, a good weekend of selling hopefully ahead, when the game gets nearer i anticipate a good surge, we should also open it up to purchase history

I got mine through the OSC reservation, so only had the choice of a few blocks. Which is fair enough, however if I try to buy any more, I’m told that I’ve already had my allocation and am limited to one ticket. Ideally I wanted to buy 2 more £30 tickets, but it doesn’t seem an option, despite season ticket holders supposedly being able to buy 4.

If we sold as many as we have today each day for the next week then it will be a sell out or close to it but I do think sales tend to tail off at certain points, albeit there will always be impulse buyers making last minute decisions to go. Opening it up to purchase history will surely give it a boost though.

Do we know when the tickets will be removed from sale? I think in recent years it's been a few days before the match itself. For me, as they're electronic tickets they should at least be on sale until next Friday evening - assuming any tickets remain by then that is.

They have done this before but money talks for our club now. They probably don’t give a shit how many fans we have at Wembley.
