Seat Counters - 2024/25

Allocation for most away games is between 2,500 and 3,000, and because of points system it's mainly the same fans at all the away games, so 47,ooo fans have a chance of going away to a semi final for a day out, fans say yes but we have been 28 or so times in the last 12 years, but surely most fans have been earning money in between wembley appearances.

Whether you believe it or not, those tickets are counted as part of the official attendance. I wouldn't go so far as to say it's fraudulent, as those are the rules, but I'd definitely agree that it's grossly misleading.

I'd also say that it encourages clubs to find any way of bunging tickets out the door if sales are slow. Give 500 tickets each to Manchester Uni, MMU and Salford Uni and that's another 1,500 on the gate even if no one turns up using one of those 1,500.
True. But there’s a difference between giving discount tickets to local schools and students, which has always happened, and helping dodgy ticket agencies which rip off fans.

The empty seats on Sunday will yet again have us laughed at by the rest of football, giving the Talkscript scriptwriters days of content to write the snide lines for brainless morons like Agbonlohor to read off an autocue.

But shame on those running City that have managed to completely fuck up our support.

There shouldn’t be an empty seat for any home PL games or semi finals - but the clowns making pricing decisions have somehow managed it !!

Sunday is what happens when you alienate and dis-engage our support. Our board lost the plot the minute tourists filled Wembley for the charity shield when legacy blues boycotted it and thought they had cracked it.

I’m not sure how it is these days, but I know for a fact in the early days of Mansour ownership that those in charge of pricing at City were terrified when attendances were poor for certain fixtures - and the nervousness of explaining why they had fucked it.

Hopefully it’s still the same, and the current situation will see some strung up by their testicles when having to explain to Abu Dhabi why we are laughing stock and being portrayed as plastic supporters by the UK media.
I presume you are not going to support the team at Wembley then.

Also fans have to pay bills in between Wembley appearances too.. not everyone has an unlimited amount of money.

I know quite a few regulars who are financially stable but just can't be bothered. They were there last season.
I'm kind of in that category. I'm away this weekend, booked a while ago but I could have avoided being away this weekend. But I'm going to the US for more than two weeks for the CWC, so it's swings and roundabouts.

But the cost of everything pretty much has gone up. Whether that’s house bills or travel.

I’ve decided not to go to this one - I went to the Sheffield United one previously. The main reason is that I can’t afford it. Wembley is terrible as well.

The money I am saving up in between Wembley trips is paying for my family or bills.

Same here - where I sit theres a group of 10-15 of us whove sat in the same area for years. I am the only one going on sunday - and being honest I work in London Mon-Weds most weeks so its luckily convenient for me to be playing on the sunday.

We've decided to go Southampton away instead of the semi.

Can only afford one or the other.

Can we try and put pressure on the FA about the semis at Wembley? I don't know a soul who agrees with it
I'm not sure if other clubs fans agree. Our position is unique, but the other semi finalists are overjoyed to be going. Rags / Scouse would both sell it out by themselves such is there demand. I do think we are on our own with the view semis shud be played elsewhere??

This is it. Whilst I'm personally in a more fortunate position than many, even I can see just how much harder people are finding life at the moment. Everyone I know is worse off than they were a few years ago. Some might argue that the other three clubs at Wembley this weekend also have fans who are finding life tough presently. That will certainly be true, but nobody can tell me that it's just as novel for City (26 appearances since 2011 with fans allowed, excl. Spurs away in 17-18 and 18-19) as it is for Forest (1 appearance since 2011). When money is tight, people will rightly prioritise other things. When the novelty is there, people will find a way to raise the money. Some people will be sticking it on credit card.

I attended a work meeting with a Forest fan a couple of weeks ago. He has a season ticket and says they're like gold-dust. You can't get away tickets, and non-ST holders struggle to get into home cup matches. Go back less than four years, and they got 23,900 for a home league game against Blackburn. This is not a dig at Forest fans. It's just a reflection of what novelty does. Villa fans got ripped off for home CL tickets this season. If they're in it for five years straight, they wouldn't be selling out the ground if they sold them at this season's prices.

Think it depends which teams are in the semis, Forest fans seem quite happy with it and looking forward to it. Where if you ask our fans and maybe other teams that have been to Wembley a lot not so much.

The FA are still paying for it aren’t they? Bring back the days of the neutral ground for semi’s, not the national stadium.

This could be played at Villa Park. Better atmosphere, sell out on both sides.

30 plus times since 2011 and this will be our 7th in just 2 years which is incredible,i'll be honest i'm not going and 90% of the match going lads i know aren't and it is apathy to be honest, we've been spoilt rotten.
