Seat Counters - 2024/25

On my way down but I know a lot of older blues who are giving it a miss . Just like me they have done the hard miles when we were shit , they’ve done being in the home end at some really hostile grounds back in the day .
Some of the posters on here criticising those fans haven’t got a clue about doing away games back in the day , turning up at Wembley is the easy bit . Reminds me of all the reds who went to Barcelona when they fluked it against Bayern , half of them had never been anywhere near a game for years , suddenly they were giving it the big one afterwards.

28k is decent considering how many times we've played there in the last 15 years although it's not gonna look great on the telly with the blocks we haven't sold. Scousers and the rags are the only clubs who would constantly sell out Wembley no matter how many times they got there I think
I find it rather interesting that Forest have an average home attendance of 29k but all of a sudden they’ve found an extra 7k fans. Equally Crystal Palace average just shy of 25k and they miraculously generated an extra 11k fans. I’m pretty sure that if we get through today we’ll sell out for the final. It’s all a matter of choice if you go or don’t go it doesn’t make anybody a poor supporter. I could incidentally have purchased a brand new car with what I’ve spent going to Wembley these past 15 years but I chose Wembley and now my old banger is on its last legs and I’m not talking the wife

With home match tickets costing £71+, and possibly 2 trips to Wembley within 3 weeks, our general support isn’t spending the money.

Add to that the Sunday kick off time, and the way the directors have alienated a large percentage of our support, we were always going to struggle to sell out 36,000 seats for the semi-final.

Even fans amongst our 37,000 seaon ticket holders aren’t bothering.

TBH, I’m one of those 37,000 season ticket holders who isn’t going today.
Me too, but I don't do semis at Wembley, on the list of importance it trails behind the Community Shield.

I never thought I'd see the success we have had, it comes at a price , we can't have the players we have and charge £30 per game, we wouldn't pass PSR etc
We could have let all fans and hospitality in for free last season and still made a profit.

PSR is a ruse dreamt up by US hedge funds that has very little to do with ticket prices. Don’t fall for it

So basically agreeing with me as I said "4-30 in London isn't the end of the world if the game finishes on 90 minutes".
No, I am saying that for a PL game with 3k or less away fans and a 4.30 ko it isn’t the end of the world. Let’s say 10% of fans catch a train that’s 300 who have a choice of maybe five trains back to Manchester that arrive back before midnight. With this game there may be 3k fans trying to get back on two or three trains due to having to factor in extra time / pens. For many it’s a lot of hassle especially when it’s not the first time in decades and it may be repeated in less than three weeks. That’s before you factor in cost etc.

I mean what could possibly be the problem, Sunday kick off in London everyone should be able to get there easily with our world class transport system.

We will sell out for the final. :-)

You should still be proud of our support.

We’ve sold out all away fixtures this season.

Don’t let one FA Cup - semi-final not selling out cloud your judgement of our (away) support.

Yesterday’s semi-final wasn’t a sell out. The attendance was 82,000.
Agreed but with our sales we will probaly only see 65k there today..thats pretty poor ..mitigating circumstances and all that but still poor.. kick off times a killer but in all honesty if we had the Saturday game maybe 29.5k sold..a good 5k less then Forest ..today we will be 8k less then
..wait for it...Forest....the "meeeja" have won in all honesty...I live in London now and the bile I get at 5 a side is worse than anything I hear in North West...lets face it we aint gonna have a fan base from a wide geographical area...Arsenal for eg, have coach loads going from Brighton...Plymouth ...you name it..us..middleton...and Stockport of course....I'm cynical but these constant slurs were designed for this sort of day..."meeja" blackout.....unless we win the MOTD with sound off when U get back from rhe match

I know that's sarcasm but...
Wembley last year.
My mate had to pick his son up from Bolton because his train to Manchester was cancelled.
4 of us then went to Mcr to get the train to Sheffield. On the train they made an announcement, instead of going onto it's destination, Norwich, it would terminate at Sheffield.
Ok that bit didn't bother us but what about the poor saps going further.
We then got the train to London and were lucky to get our reserved seats as they'd removed 2 carriages so loads had to stand as they had no seats.
If you have to stand for 2-3 hours it isn't the end of the world, but when you've booked seats !
So who would trust our train service to get you to London on a Sunday ?

But still Blues moan about other Blues not going.

I don't think so .I totally agree. I think a 27k turnout is shocking
If you go to an expensive restaurant and look out of the window at people in the chippy, do you walk across the road and boast about your three course meal?

If you drive past a food bank on your way home do you slow down and tell them to “work harder”?

If someone is struggling with their energy bills do you show them your banking app to demonstrate how easy it is?

City are a family club. If I still lived in Manchester, I wouldn’t risk us arriving home after midnight when the kids have school the next day. If kick off was earlier, we’d have more bums on seats.

Then why don't you put on a load of free coaches and pay for the food and drink for the fans that can't afford to go..
We all agree that you are now the greatest ever City fan that has ever lived or will ever live...
All hail Southportctid..the hero of Wembley.
