Seat Counters 25/26

I hadn’t realised that City had made Bournemouth at home, at 4.30pm on a Sunday, the benchmark for expanding the North Stand.

Maybe more of the people who are so concerned about the crowd for this game should turn up and get behind the lads.

With Haaland in this form and Foden back to close to his best, maybe it’s time for City to rethink the guaranteed refunds for season card holders. The touting reselling sites should do one of course.
Yes Sunday at 4:30pm and Metrolink from Aitrincham terminating at Old Trafford with replacement bus service. So with the game finishing at around 6:30pm it will be a miracle if I get home before 8:30pm.

My coach will probably get me home before you mate. Anyway, it’s an exciting, top of the table, clash. We need to keep the pressure on the other contenders.

There's no shame is there at the club?

Make moving SC tickets around almost impossible and then offer SC holders the option to buy more tickets but only in certain games.

Maybe 'in certain games' the current registrations should also be dropped for transfer of tickets too.
The system is crumbling under its own stupidity.

It's like when I was working, just leave me alone to get on with the job, I'll hit my targets and do a good job. I don't need all the red tape and hoops to jump through.

The same at City these days, I just want to go to the game, enjoy and get home but the rules & regs, parking restrictions (I know that's not particularly City's fault but they aren't doing anything to help the situation), the cheese...that announcer getting everyone to shout Haaland after a goal FFS we've just done a HAALAND HAALAND by ourselves etc.

Oops I'm off on a random moan ;)

They did it.for Burnley which was not a.gauranteed.refund.
They have just.done it for Bournemouth which is not a guaranteed refund.
They didnt do it for Spurs, United or Everton, which were guaranteed refund.
Not an infinite number of data points but I am seeing a pattern.
There will also be some matches where a decent number of tickets will be returned by the resellers and these are generally returned late in the process.

Just looked in my block (111) to see whether to get a ticket for my good lady, just 2 seats available and nowhere near me so will give it a miss.

My daughter wanted to come with us for Bournemouth. A couple of weeks ago when she bought a ticket there was hardly anything available - literally a seat or two in each section available. Now suddenly there are hundreds and hundreds and she could have been sat near us rather than the other side of the ground. Wtf?

I get you. Seriously - close-watching of this thread is more informative than a lot of the ticketing information the club gives out imho

Because...the club can't sell hospitality @£250 if there are loads of normal seats together available at reasonable prices.
So they squeeze availability, and people from abroad looking to come to a City game will see that the only way to bring a family and sit together is to buy a package, despite having already bought matchday membership. That's what happens.
Loads will be on soon tellng us that (i) it's the Bournemouth SS3 returns (correct) and (ii) the rest are all season tickets returned on the Exchange (BS).
I no longer even worry about match tickets before booking flights and accomodation, even if the game looks practically sold out, as I know the sales pattern that has evolved..
I'm not complaining (any more) or ranting.... just explaining .

Thanks mate. It has definitely changed this season. I sometimes have to use the exchange as I live in Scotland. Used to be you could put them on, then check what was available and see that they were indeed available. The two seats together invariably sold within the hour. Now I never see them as available and they sell separately sometimes days apart. You are I think correct. Tickets get drip released, one or two per section until a couple of weeks before then it’s flooded.

You could maybe try ask for a refund and the buy one closer

She bought it and I don’t think match members can return their tickets. Maybe worth a check though thanks.
If you’re going to ring them just ask if you can relocate the two seats so you’re sat together, sure I’ve heard others have that done before. Obviously you might have to pay the difference if either of the seats are in a dearer block.

Season ticket holders can order extra? Where are all those that will be rushing to fill the additional seats.
When football clubs push their core supporters away through years of price hikes, these people find other things to do with their spare time and stop even looking at buying tickets at all. Once clubs push people away, many never come back.

That’s what 13 price rises (some as high as 12%) in 16 years does to a fanbase.

Those who still want to go may only be able to afford one or two games in a month so may be looking at Liverpool, Dortmund or Newcastle over Bournemouth as we have a run of four home games in a row in November. And Bournemouth have returned the top tier so fans may be looking at the £30 tickets in SSL2 in the usual away area than they are around the rest of the ground.

Does anyone know if cityzen members can now purchase an extra ticket for a non member for the Bournemouth game yet?

You can (up to 3 extra). Doesn’t say they need to be for members - they will just be allocated to your wallet/phone I think.

I remember pointing out that this would happen during the treble season, but too many people couldn't see it through their rose tinted treble winning glasses.

The points you make are absolutely right, and the club should be really concerned about the fact that they've pushed away so many once hardcore fans.

Many were quick to compliment the club on it's pricing for the Champions League games this year, however £35 doesn't strike me as club that's desperate to win back it's local support.

The nativity of them to think that they can just lower the price and all of a sudden everyone will come flooding back, is astounding. They need to WIN those supporters back, and currently they don't seem interested in doing so.

I bought 2 in family stand for me and nephew, rang up today as I now wanted to cancel the 2 I'd bought as I wanted 3 together , wasn't a problem, got 3 together in the returns from Bournemouth and price difference sorted
