Seat Counters 25/26

They might but I think they'll leave it at the current criteria for a couple of days as there's still 18 days to go before the match. Another 1200 or so shifted since my last count:

Level 3 - 3729
Level 2 - 1664
Level 1 - 1504

Total - 6897
So there were 4,800 left for Madrid after going on sale to Matchday Members, so this is actually selling slightly worse than Madrid currently.

Obviously this will still sell out as there's plenty of time to go yet, it's just interesting.

There's every nationality you can think of walking around the Etihad.

A group of 8 Uzbekistan lads walked past me.

4 Proper Cockney lads all dressed in black. Definitely not City fans. They could have been Rags. ;-)

It's going to be a very mixed crowd in the home ends.

The ticket touting websites must have done a brisk business for the game.

Madrid will always attract the tourists.

Did you ask them for their passports?

Mancunians didn't want the tickets tonight I'm afraid. Plenty of opportunities to buy, £15 for kids. Lovely dry sunny evening.
We badly need the tourists for this one.

True.
Hopefully City attract them as well.
City v Real Madrid has become one of the big CL matches.

We're not as big a pull as we were. Overturn the defecit and win the tie though and we'll be the hot ticket again.

Why aren’t fa cups games or league games like that then?

Champions league games attract tourists and away fans. Large numbers there for Madrid and a day out

They are ,it just that people dont notice it or rather dont want to notice it.
It's more in the premier league than the fa cup mind.
Dont you notice how many half and half scarves they are at United and Liverpool games these days with the red side showing more in the City end.

Some of the bigger games, sure, but it’s no where near as much for league games, compared to champions league games. The majority attending are still season ticket holders

The atmosphere was much better with the tourists tonight
Don't confuse correlation with causation.

Just because tourists show up to the big game, doesn't mean that they're the reason the atmospheres better.

The atmosphere was better tonight because everyone was up for it
