Seat Counters 25/26

Oh Yeah, if those people actually exist then I'm in total agreement

However I've got no idea how many supporters blame the tourists for not getting a ticket and then look the other way when one becomes available

Perhaps a few on this Forum, but I'm not convinced that Bluemoon is a fair reflection of the new City demographic

Far more relevant is my own Supporters Club branch (one of the biggest) not running a coach to Newcastle, despite being so oversubscribed for the league game that it ran a coach and a minibus

It was the same for the trip to Swansea and (possibly for different reasons) it's starting to creep into the PL midweek away matches.
Agreed. The cost of living must be the biggest factor at present. Very few can do every match not least because we have plenty of older fans (me included). The lift was oversubscribed at the League game up there! St James Park is not an easy gig. That said it will be a cracking match.

Christmas, New Year, Sales, back to work after the Christmas holidays, 3 matches a week, PL, Carbao Cup, FA Cup, CL matches starting again soon, the 2nd leg at the Etihad, it’s on TV, etc.

Unfortunately there are just too many football matches shoehorned around the most expensive time of the year. Something has to give. It looks like it’s Newcastle away in the Carabao Cup.

I was thinking similar, but then I realised that it was 12 seasons ago when we played at Upton Park in the Semi Final and at the time, we hadn't won the League Cup since 1976.

We also took a decent following to the London Stadium for Pep's first FA Cup tie but even that was 9 years ago.

Since then we've been spoilt and for all sorts of reasons the hardcore following just aren't being replaced

In a fucking nutshell!

Never mind though, shitty international crap gets 2 weeks every 6 weeks to play a game or 2 in mild conditions, most of us couldn't give a shit about it.

Certain PL Clubs get 2 home games during the holiday period whilts others (us) get 2 home games within 4 days just as everyone is switching back into work mode.

The random fixture calendar is the most corrupt and manipulated aspect of the modern game.

I’ve had a week off work. I’m back in work next week. I can’t take anymore time off. I decided to do Sunderland, the FA Cup, the Carabao Cup 2nd leg, United away, and Liverpool away. Newcastle away is the match I decided not to go to. Hopefully my Newcastle ticket will be snapped up by a City fan who normally can’t get an away ticket?

My criticism is aimed at those armchair fans who seem to love slagging the club and telling us how difficult it is to go to matches “because of the tourists.” I know you, like myself, are a regular. But the tickets for the Newcastle semi are dirt cheap. I am also retired but have lost count of the times I have shared a car after an early dart from work to the North East in mid winter. There are too many moaners on this forum these days(not you).
Bobby it's called Bluemoan for a reason
Admittedly in my short time on here it's getting worse.
And I try to avoid any matchday threads.

Am i understanding this right.
You have to book the lift for up in the gods at Newcastle.
I've been many times but always been able to walk. Admittedly blowing out of my arse from halfway up.

You don’t have to book the lift but the queues for the league game were terrible and a lot missed the kick off. It took me 45 minutes to get in. I am recovering from surgery and still can’t do those killer stairs.

I thought there'd be more take up too mate. For context though, there was a group of 7 of us who went to Newcaste in the league this season, it's only me bothering with this one. Based on this I rekon theres loads of our regular away following not going to this.

Ticket office should have got it to all Members on Friday and allowed people to buy up to 4, Monday will be way too late notice for some unfortunately
In a nutshell

I was on a Supporters Club Coach for the league game, and the demand was so high that we also filled a minibus
We stopped at a local cricket club pre match and had a fantastic time with our hosts offering free food.

This time the numbers are so low that the we've had to jump ship and mix with another branch.

Anyone doing Euston n back with our friends Avanti is a better man than me, and anyone with a number for f&f who wants my ticket (110) for nowt is welcome to get in touch..

Think it’s rail replacement for some of the way , we are ok as don’t get on until Rugby but it will be a pain for those getting up from London
