Seat Counters 25/26

To be fair I’m not sure on the prices, but is that £35 in the cheapest seats behind the goal and also you need a £35 membership as well. Usually the rest of the ground is more expensive

I personally think it should be a bit cheaper, as a lot of these champions league games seem meaningless. I know we probably need to win this one, but even then is anyone really that bothered about this one?
This. If times are hard and money is tight then this is a game to swerve. The only jeopardy is us having two play off matches next month or not. Hardly nail biting stuff although like Pep and everyone else I’d rather us finish top 8 to avoid the play offs and have some rest time for the players, and potentially save fans more bloody expense !

I guess my point is that plenty of blues will have considered going to the Galatasaray game, but when they logged on and saw it was 35 quid they decided to leave it.

I refuse to believe that in a City with a population of 2 million, there aren't thousands and thousands of blues who'd love a cheap evening at the match.

I shudder to think of what European Nights might look like if we find ourselves in the europa league.
First home game we'll be up against another side usually in the CL and the club will charge silly prices. Thousands will leave the EL cup scheme in protest and the remaining home games will have cheaper tickets and loads of empty seats.
Fortunately we're likely to be in the CL next season so the club will hope the draw generates four interesting home games.
Though any competitive home game should be classed as interesting if we actually support City.

Equally, this is the game to attend for the hardcore of fans who also have a role in the safety of fellow Blues.

Tickets for tomorrow night are cheap on the face value pages.

Looks like level 3 off sale for Newcastle now so they can fill the lower tiers.

The club are selling £30 tickets for Fulham in the returned seats in SS3 - there are 918 left! If the club aren’t worried about that then they should be. Clearly it’s not just a pricing matter. It’s disengagement and silly rules that have turned occasional fans away.
Guarantee that if Fulham was a weekend game, those £30 tickets would fly off the shelves. Midweek in mid-winter and they sell a lot slower. We saw it last season - the £30 tickets not taken up by the visiting club in SS3 didn't sell quickly for midweek games, but when Palace didn't take up their SS3 allocation for a 12.30pm Saturday game, they all got snapped up by City fans in no time.

I can't help but feel that a few years ago they would've flown off the shelves regardless of what time of day the game was.

444 tickets sold since Friday morning
Tickets remaining for League Cup Semi-Final 2nd Leg v Newcastle. 10 days to go until the game and selling about a couple of hundred tickets a day. Likely about 9000 empty seats for it - attendance of about 43k as Newcastle will have sold out their 6,500 allocation

Level 0: 3,473

Level 1: 3,503

Level 3: 4,245

Total: 11,221 tickets left

it's possible that people are waiting until payday before buying tickets. I think we'll see a surge in sales on Friday and over the weekend

Unfortunately this is a bit of a seat counting myth, yes we might see few hundred more tickets sell, but payday is certainly not going to cause a surge in sales.

I would expect sales to improve slightly in the days leading up to the game, but we'll still fall well short of a sellout

I'm going against Galatasaray Newcastle and Salford and also the away games at Tottenham and Liverpool
I'll also be going to both legs of the next round of the CL regardless of whether It's the Play Off or the Last 16.

I have lots of gripes but thankfully price is less an issue for me than it was in the mid 90s.

If people can't afford to attend all these home games, then just remember that empty seats in a football stadium isn't a criminal offence.

Why should city fans be having to use Facebook sites to buy tickets though? They should be affordable in the first place

And the Liverpool one first half. In fact quite a few of the biggest ones. But these group games are always awful. I hate foreign chanting and I hate the way it drowns out our fans.
A lot of the overseas chanting seems to bear zero relation to what’s going on on the pitch or the state of the match!

If its your season ticket seat that you are paying for monthly or in one hit then you should have the decision on how much it sells for, with the max set at 1/19 of your season ticket. I cant make the Fulham game as im working away that week but guarantee my seat wont sell on the seat exchange. None of it makes any kind of sense.

Mine sold although it was two together which helps.

Thats because it doesnt.

You watch any game in the "ohhh its so brilliant Bundesliga" - Bayern for example. The big flags continue waving even when Bayern concede a goal at the end on the right where their "ultras" are. The flags still keep waving regardless of whats going on, and the "fans" go through a repetoire of coordinated songs by 3/4 blokes at the front who dont even watch the game, they just direct the fans who respond like schoolkids to a bloke facing them with a megaphone and others with signs to clap/cheer/sway to the left etc.

David Conn and the like will rush to tell you how ace it is - its not; its forced fun, call and response bollocks and belongs in the fucking sea.

Would also love to know how at The Etihad away ends - Dortmund for example - have got big drums, pyro, megaphones into the ground. If I tried that at Turnstile C - not that I would mind - Id wager I wouldnt be able to get them in. Whys it one rule for the away end and another for us, particularly as City fans generally get treated like shit on european away days by stewards and local plod.

the clubs chickens are certainly going to come home to roost in the next few games, i was going to buy 2 extra galatasaray tickets but considering they do the sum part of fuck all to make it easy, and fuck all to help me when i want to transfer tickets, they can go and find a tourist to buy them. Soriano is a the disease that City fans never asked for.

If 2 tickets in Level 0 for &30 allows another couple of Bkues to go and cheer on the lads, what’s to ur problem. I thought yku were pro cheaper prices but is they only on youur terms.

? Of course I don’t have a problem with people selling on tickets and providing a cheaper alternative.

My question was, why should our fans have to buy from places like Facebook, to attend a game in the first place?

If they were affordable and accessible, you wouldn’t need to go to a dodgy Facebook re seller. Half the time the tickets might not even be legitimate

It’s like saying, city do have cheaper tickets, but the club don’t actually sell them. Why is that a good thing?
