Seat Counters 25/26

so much for their boasting about lower and capped ticket prices, the only ever cheap tickets for league games are the returns from smaller clubs, then it's straight back to where they were last season, only this season ticket transfer has been removed, so the club pretended they were listening to the protests and shafted the fans even further. The complete contempt they have shown is now coming back with interest and i personally have lost complete faith in them, like 10000's of others
Not in the bit Fulham sent back

If we've seriously got 4,000 returns then it can't be just down to price and more related to the lack of enthusiasm or transport issues for yet another midweek match.
I am at the Fulham match but with very little enthusiasm as I hate these late kick-offs and the Public transport is dog shit.

Everyone has different transport to games but lift restrictions or put parking meters and 4 k increase on gate

Most people pay the £10 parking fee. If they can’t afford to it’s understandable but maybe there is scope for more Blues to share transport costs.

Least it’s 7.30 which appeals more to me than 8pm. Trains work better for that kick off time for me.
That's an extremely important point, especially for older supporters like me.

A 7:30 kick off means I can catch an earlier train and be home for 11
An 8pm kick off means getting home at midnight

I'll just moan about it but still go. However for some people it's the straw that breaks the camel's back

Most of them are returns that have already been sold once.
Not really. Unless you mean returns from some of the nine third party ticketing partners, hence why there are rows and rows of available seats towards the back of some of the blocks in the third tiers. They can’t be individual supporter returns if they’re all together. Sure, there will be some fans that have stuck their seats on the exchange but it doesn’t account for “most of them”

There are thousands of regular season ticket holders who pick and choose midweek games. So a big chunk of the returns will be from season ticket holders. There is little corporate demand for midweek matches as well. I agree there will also be some rows of sponsor tickets etc.

I don’t disagree that some season ticket holders pick and choose midweek games and some of those showing as available will be from those fans but a large chunk are third party returns - have a look at all the blocks in CB3 and you’ll see the vast majority of hundreds and hundreds of tickets are all located on the back 10 rows or so. Let’s also not forget that there was a second release of tickets as there is with all league games and not all those tickets have sold.

About time the Club kicked off with the PL on fixture scheduling, random computer my arse.

It's a bug bear of mine and I check the fixtures as soon as they are released.

The Rags are doing something (brown envelopes) to frequently get the dates when fans will be milling around, buying the new kits or spending, ie first match, Christmas games, and often last match, although a caveat to this one is Sky realising we may be in a title decider, so the Rags brown envelope aint big enough to nail down the last match.

What this means for us and our ticket sales is mid week games in the middle of fucking winter.
No wonder our average attendance is down.

Blues are stating reasons why they (or others) wont go.

I've yet to hear anything from the club as to how they will tackle this issue.

Do they even realise there is a problem ?

Still got dark, school night and bad weather excuses to reach for.
And it kicks off at 7-30 which should help, unless you can't get there after work.

We don’t have enough fans to sell out midweek games unless they are big glamour ties. I think the 12 game guaranteed refund regime has made a rod for our own backs but ditching that wouldn’t be enough to solve the empties.

You are right about the excuses / reasons.
