Seat Counters 25/26

Pep have a fucking WORD with your mate, Soriano, we ain’t a club with millions of members from all over the world like your beloved barcelona, we are a predominantly working class club supported by fans with other financial commitments (many of whom he has already driven away) - if you lower the prices they will come

under Soriano, and for a long time after Barca had lots of empty seats due to their ticketing structure.

I agree with you but how can that happen when season ticket holders have already paid more than that?
As a season ticket holder I would have no issues with price drops individual games for people buying individual tickets. I see the season ticket premium as a guarantee for tickets for the bigger games.

Fair enough. I suppose I'm looking at it from an old school perspective where one of the perks was getting a lower average ticket price per game. There are different advantages to being a season ticket holder now.
I'm a season ticket holder and wouldn't begrudge there being lower prices for matchday tickets. Especially for juniors.

HEY SORIANO YOU DAFT STUPID DEAF **** - WE DO NOT HAVE A GENERALLY WEALTHY FAN BASE, LOWER THE PRICES AND YOU WILL HAVE A FULLER GROUND, WHICH WILL GIVE A BETTER ATMOSPHERE AND MORE SUCCESS. AND START ISSUING NEW SEASON TICKETS. AND DO MORE TO ENGAGE WITH AND ENCOURAGE THE SUPPORT OF LOCAL FANS.

Excuse the caps, I want him to hear!

Re attendance and ticket prices, Yes I'd like to pay less but I really don't think that's likely to happen. But my question is have we, as fans have become victims of our own success? By that I mean , the additional games to take part in the Champions league, the success in the domestic cup competitions have all meant we have to fork out more to watch games. If we were in United's position this season with just league game and nothing else, the strain on our pockets would not be so great, and the potential to go to just league games would be financially easier.

Everton are having similar issues to us as well.
The vast majority of empty seats are “no-shows” from people who have to pull out for genuine reasons. It’s not a surprise and happens at virtually every club in Europe. It always happens in the winter with our crumbling transport infrastructure. Then you add flu bugs and the pressures of modern life. I agree that our ticketing operation remains a shambles and makes things worse. But don’t forget that most of these seats have already been sold once. I have often seen empty rows of seats at numerous swamp derbies in their top tiers. Presumably some sort of corporate bungle.

Me too. I'd prefer to pay what I pay and see a full stadium rather than empty seats, even if some around me got tickets later on a cheaper

I cant see any reactions from around the country at the amount of empty seats at Everton and Tottenham last night.
Just for info to buy a membership at Everton is 60 pounds.
It appears every club is ripping their fans off.

this just highlights that absolute absurdity of our ticketing strategy, anyone want top seats cheaper than ssl3 at the back, here you go
