Seat Counters 25/26

The BBC published a 39,000 attendance tonight, but then deleted it.
We all have our opinions, but in my opinion the BBC are just shit stirring clickbait cunts playing to the gallery
Loads of leg room, but nearer to 45000+ and they fucking know it.

Tonight was yet another midweek game and then we'll have the train farce for Salford and Newcastle

The club are making lots of mistakes but we need to cut them a bit of slack for the rest of February
I was there. Genuinely be gobsmacked if anything less than 48,000. Likely more.

The BBC are fucking Rag liars.

As if it was 39,000. I’d say about 49-50k with about 300 Fulham fans.

The club have gone about it all the wrong way round.

The new North Stand tier should have been driven as a big atmospheric stand with £300 Season Tickets and £30 matchday tickets. It really should have been the ‘Wonderwall’.

Then, all these GA+ and Hospitality seats should have been created elsewhere.

They could have made my ST in 105 an expensive padded seat on the halfway line of the bottom tier had they enticed me to move to the new NSL2.

Daytrippers paying a premium for tickets won’t want to be paying these prices for bobbins behind-the-goal views. They’d probably expect to be paying for great views along the side for the expense it will be.

The hotel should have been on the East Car park and the back of the North Stand should have been a world class fan zone.
This is a great post. If only you worked at the club.

I was there as well mate

On the train home I noticed that they'd published circa 39,500 on their results page
However within a couple of minutes it had been deleted.
Someone is playing games in the Salford newsroom. It is totally unprofessional but not a surprise given what I know about that operation.

Don’t give them any ideas about 105 (or 005) ffs!

Does that mean there will be less nursery rhyme chants from the Rags? Ha ha they were a joke last time. I feel sorry for the genuine Salford fans though. Imagine being taken over by that bunch of total twats.
Given that they often take fewer than 100 to many aways, on official figures, the vast majority will be those red weirdos who support not one, not two but three (count em) teams. So they need splattering and humiliating again

Bloke next to me was on holiday, tried to transfer his ticket but couldn't as he hadn't set people up on the friends and family, so that was an empty seat. This guy is late 50s I reckon so isnt gonna be savvy with the friends and family stuff and whatever other hoops city make us jump through to transfer the tickets we've bought and paid for to our friends.

Mate behind had a similar issue and when another mate we sit with turned up (he was late cos stuck in traffic) he said a mate of his had a similar issue. So thats 3 empty seats because of the fucking about with membership/friends and family etc

Big Steve called this out on his YouTube this week, saying how old school blues wont jump through the hoops city want us to, he's right, but even some of the younger ones wont or cba doing it.

I'd guess there were about 44k there last night myself but could be wrong. Seemed to be lots of students about when I was walking in but thay was just my personal experience and I didnt hang about the stadium long before (just went straight in).

At least we didnt get the light shows with people's fone in the 3rd tier so presumably not many tickets went to school kids

Quite a few restrictions were relaxed last night.!Getting a Supporters Number shouldn’t be much of an obstacle, especially when mates are spending their time trying to transfer tickets to fellow Blues.

If people want to listen to Steve and miss out on tickets then it’s their choice. There’s plenty wrong with the ticketing but getting a supporters number shouldn’t be one of them.

Looks like City need to add Tech lessons to their to do list

They could do with a session (not in a pub lol) to help everyone who struggles to get a supporters number. I thought the SNs have been about for approximately 40 years so I am not sure why a guy who sits in corporate or a box without windows is so opposed.

I was trying to help some good Blues dowload tickets last night before the game but it turned into a bit of a saga.

Ahh I wasnt aware, just going off what the guys I sit with were saying.

I'll let them know next game that the issue in this instance seems to be that theyre just a bunch of morons, ha.

I was moron too lol trying to help people to transfer tickets. It’s the second game in recent weeks that it’s been a big struggle transferring tickets. Part of the problem is City not letting season card holders have an extra ticket but some of it Blues just getting a free supporters number. There’s seems quite a few Blues in that situation and like you said it’s contributing to empty seats.

I’m guessing the people in the post you were replying to all had supporter numbers Tim but the issue was that they weren’t set up on the friends and family list to transfer tickets to. Maybe they were non-paying members and the latest window has now closed to add non-paying members to your friends and family list. This is a huge bugbear of mine - I’m more up to speed than the person the poster was referring to but even I’ve not nominated any non-paying members when the respective windows have been open because I’ve no idea months in advance of a game that I’m missing which non-paying members will be available for me to transfer my ticket to. I was away for the Leeds game at the back end of November and my mate asked if his son could have my ticket rather than me stick it on the exchange. I couldn’t transfer it because he was a non-paying member. His son had to cough up for a membership in the end but he only did it because City had a Black Friday sale on where memberships were half-price. No way would he have paid the full £35 if he didn’t know he was going to be attending any other games this season.
Fans should be able to nominate non-paying members throughout the season and not just during summer and winter transfer windows FFS!

Good post Simon.

Like I've said, I would revert to season card holders being able to take an extra person into the ground. I would have the junior
Membership at a tenner and adult
Membership at £20 (or less). On a night like last night the restrictions would be waived.’

My experience is there is a growing issue of Blues without Supporters Numbers but I’m sure you are right about the non paid members ticket transfers too. It isn’t helping to bring through the next generation of fans or fill empty seats generally. People trying to source tickets for friends and family are usually very well intended.

That said, It’s creating a lot of extra work for Blues trying to transfer tickets and maybe just leaving the seats empty has some merit in it.

On the OS there are ticket transfer options to sell to the club, to transfer to one of 3 named people, and to City in the Community.

A late transfer option to another any City fan would be a good and useful option if you couldn't go at the last minute via Apple or Android into their mobile phone wallets.
