We get the exact same conversations on here year after year, 'big' games come round and people without the required amount of loyalty (hate that word) points start moaning they cant get tickets, there have been at least 10 games that have gone to pretty much general sale this season which I can almost guarantee the people with the most points would have been at.

I know in your previous post you mentioned his boys, looking through his post history his lads are at least 14 and 29, my kids are 15 and 21 youngest has over 15k points and the lad is over 20k, none of them can get united Liverpool Leeds Burnley but shit happens, I know how lucky I am to have been able to afford to take them over the years and still am but there's still no way id advocate a ballot just on the off chance

My boys are same age as yours… 15 & 21, both had season tickets from the age of 7 yrs.
I’d take a ballot on the off chance.

This seat count is showing up the hardcore SCs from the glory hunters. I stand by what I'm saying: they shoudl change the criteria and get these shifted. Why hang on to the death selling 200 a day when there are probably plenty out there who want to bring their kids or family or whatever? Get these potential new blues in the stadium.

over the years I have been to many away games, and always been interested. I have had a season ticket for that length of time, do you remember the days of having to send in ticket application at the end of the books for away games, I got loads in them days!

Absolutely Dave, and I've not forgotten you getting ridiculed on here for suggesting this might struggle to sell out. You can't teach experience.

Time to let Seasoncard holders buy extra, and get these shifted.

A good solution would be to go back to awarding loyalty points for attending matches that go down to a certain threshold. You shouldnt get anything for attending OT or Anfield. You should for going to a league cup away match.
For instance, you could award points if it sold below 5k points).
That would allow people to catch up on the loyalty points - as it were.

Truth be told, I think it would not make a great difference for a while. The people at the top of the points go to the vast majority of matches.True - some do pick and choose - but they are not missing that many matches.
The points system should stay but I am not sure it works in an ideal fashion.

Back up to 1729 showing now (plus any hidden ones flapjack has found) so it still looks like batches are being found down the back of the sofa and getting added on to the planner

My guess is that they won't relax the criteria due to potential issues with Liverpool fans being in the home areas but wait and see I suppose

Obviously those days ended in 2003 when they got rid of books and it was queuing not long before, and you got points for all the aways from 2001. The postals remained in 2003-4 before going to phone and in person only shortly after that.

These would all be tracked and you stated you were on all the schemes, been to loads of aways which counted to points (as they turned tracking into points) but were only on 8k points last year.

It doesn't add up.
 
After already purchasing his ticket (on cup schemes) for Liverpool my adult son as found out he's at a surprise birthday event so cant attend.
Why cant you list a cup game ticket for exchange.
No wonder there's empty seats.

Why would you go to a "suprise birthday event" instead of going to City , the world has gone to the dogs :)

There will be empty seats if people behave like that.
