Seat Counters 25/26

It used to be a badge of honour getting to Lincoln on a Tuesday night. You had to beg, steal, borrow, jib in, use touts, to get away ticket for the big games. I lost count of the number of games I went in home ends. You just did what you had to do.
Been there and done all of the above, people don’t want to do the hard yards any more,
this is not just a football issue it a society one.

I was at Lincoln away :0)

But not at York or Wrexham away :0(

Where can I claim my Badge of Honour :0)

Judith Chalmers :0)

Also you get fans who when points go low somehow look down on Brighton, Newcastle in cup away etc, get there and support lads, not there to watch opposition.
Newcastle away in the FA Cup in particular was a perfect away day for low pointers to go to. Unless you work Sundays, what's not to like about an 8pm kick-off on a Saturday night in a great city? Granted, it was impossible to get the train back - my preferred method of travel - but loads of coaches were running from various places. Despite not being a member, I went with the Cheadle branch and their coach wasn't full so more could've jumped on it.

I think this is still the case amongst the younger lads. The problem is we've got an aging fanbase and the club isn't doing anything to attract more of these younger lads who'll go through hellfire to get to away games.

I agree but the percentage of younger lads is growing now. We have a new generation of fans. They have been fantastic at most away matches this season and the atmosphere at the Etihad has also improved in my view. It will be interesting on Saturday with an early kick off which are always poor. But I have a feeling the ground will be rocking after that Cup Final win.

Do people want to be there or not? Like people who complain about trains, just get a coach ffs
You seem to be at war with anyone who gets trains to away day, this is the 4th time I've seen you comment on this topic.

A coach just caught fire on the motorway causing many to almost miss kick off, not as reliable as you think.

I hope so mate. Both cup trips to Newcastle were full of groups of young lads aged 15-30 making an absolute racket.

It makes me hopeful for the future, but the club needs to make it as accessible as possible for these lads to go regularly

Yes. All the Newcastle games home and away had great atmospheres this season.

Not everyone is going to be a die hard when you have 45K tickets to sell. You'll have elderly fans and young families that will think twice if the Metrolink is out of action.

Twice, you have said the system is crap, is that because it doesn't suit you.
Here's the facts,on the majority of away matches, the club receives 3000 tickets
60% go to the loyalty scheme circa 1800 tickets out of which 10% go to the 18/25 and juniors
20% go to the supporters clubs circa 600 tickets to distribute between their members, irrespective of whether they meet the points criteria
20% go to club staff, including ex players ,hospitality and ticketing partners, circa 600 tickets.
Questions for you and I would be grateful of your input, instead of just condoning the system

1, why do you think its right to penalise the the supporters on the loyalty points system

2, do you think its right that 40% of away tickets, go to people who would not qualify through their points.

3 ,what do you think is a fair system

4,why have you not attended many away matches, when over the last 2 seasons, tickets have been available to members .

Please give us some solutions to the problems you see, because you haven't offered any yet.
I get you, Chappie.

I also find the 'same old faces' a very strange form of criticism.
It is the 'same old faces' because they go to near enough every game.

And City shouldn’t really be providing a ticket exchange for fans who go on the Cup Schemes to boost their points for Prem away games.

Anyway, credit to Didsbury Dave in his seat counting analysis who managed to factor in youths wanting to attend Harry Potter themed birthday parties, rather than LFC at home.
Correct
Its my son who your referring too and he's aged 30.
He should know better.
To be fair to him it's his first no show since Covid so I forgive him.
