we are gonna get shown up by fucking Southampton lads, no matter how you much you downplay it's embarrassing for a club like Manchester City
8th semi final in a row. 31st trip to Wembley in 15 years. I don't know anyone who attends these semi finals now. I'm actually surprised we sell as many as we do.

Oh my Lord.. How will we ever live it down??
Wonder how many Southampton would sell if it was at the swamp and they had been 30 odd times in the same time scale we have been going to Wembley.

I'm going, and I certainly won't be "embarrassed" by how many people do/don't attend in either end of the stadium.

People have their own reasons for wanting to go, and their own reasons why they don't want to (or can't) go.

Some blues seem to still suffer from "reds under the bed" syndrome and are more concerned about what Twitter rags will be saying about our crowd whilst they're sat at home on cup semi final weekend.

So am I. It's incredible support. Imagine taking 25,000-33,000 to Arsenal or Spurs away every season in the premier league

however you dress it up the whole thing is a shit show, and i don't blame City fans, the semi final should be a showcase game, but every year 200 miles away, ludicrous pricing, shit transport, and crap kick off times alienates huge chunks of people who would like to go. 75% of the tickets are vastly overpriced, i just think the whole thing should be more attractive and it just isn't, and football as a body doesn't give a shit
It is but the FA know clubs whose fans rarely see Wembley appearances on the whole will sweep them up. London clubs and any of the big 3 would take them too. Prices are a joke for this fixture and they should be at a club ground. They’re tone deaf to the opinions of fans though and here we are sadly.

I have been to every FA and League semi and cup final since 1969 and I am looking forward to the next one. It's been virtually Wembley every year since 2011, however, it was thirty years of hurt from 1981 until 2011. Every year I would look on enviously at supporters of teams who were involved in Wembley/ Cardiff semis and cup finals, a good cup run was getting to the quarter finals. I remember walking away from the last game of the 2008 season when we had just lost 8 - 1 to Middlesbrough and saying to my mates that we will never win anything in my lifetime, how wrong was I. So now I enjoy and celebrate every success because one day it will end but what a journey we have been on.

Only people that should be embarrassed are the authorities (not that they will be). Wembley/shite kick off time/hotels thru the roof due to marathon/train astronomical and will struggle to get back potentially anyway/tickets up to £150.

What planet are they on, they deserve it to be half empty??

I'm the same - those years from '81 to 2011 were painful. But a semi-final at Wembley is not a final and for some/many it simply isn't affordable. Staying behind after a final (when we've won!) for the trophy lift and pitch parade is one of the best moments in football but you just don't get that from a semi final.
