Seat Counters 25/26

Only people that should be embarrassed are the authorities (not that they will be). Wembley/shite kick off time/hotels thru the roof due to marathon/train astronomical and will struggle to get back potentially anyway/tickets up to £150.

What planet are they on, they deserve it to be half empty??
That's a key one - fuckin sort it out so the 2 don't clash, surely that can't be tricky can it???
It's not like it's a Bank Holiday weekend so people can recover from the run!

The rules about buying tickets and transferring them are now getting so ridiculously complex, I'm not surprised people aren't bothering now. Your story indicates that your three must have had problems getting in because they could not prove that they were the people named on the tickets - is that right? If that is so, then how can season ticket/Citizens now buy two additional tickets for the semi? It stands to reason that those two additional tickets holders will not be the person who bought them. So how might those two people satisfy these random identity checks?
Yes, it was a combo of not having picture ID for 2 of the 3 of us plus it was so close to kick off that based on my previous experience at Wembley we all just decided to get to the nearest pub, saw most of the game which I didn't in 2022.

I would think its more relaxed for the semi as theres been nothing about names.

Apparently those seats have a minimally restricted view, a little like the restricted view seats at Wembley. You’d barely notice it and it won’t impact on your ‘spectator experience’. Nothing like some of the seats at Goodison Park!

I’m guessing they have to be designated as restricted for legal reasons and Everton are just covering themselves.

Went to the HD for the Scotland match the other week - its a great stadium, had a good look at the away section and there's a bit of segregation that might impact people if they were sat down, which they won't be.

The jumbotron tellies at either end are so much better than ours - sort it out Sheiky...

i will be there, purchased 4 tickets, but i have sympathy for those who cannot afford it, the problem is there is no ground in the midlands big enough and wembley uses it as a cash cow and to hell with the fans from up north, City fans have nearly 3 times the distance to travel than southampton, that is not fair
Neither’s Frank Bruno’s arse.

Are you bored of winning cups?
No but certainly bored of wembley semi-finals. It's interesting though. The league cup and fa cup whether we like it or not do not define our season anymore. We could win both and without the league or champions league to accompany it outside voices would describe it as an average season. I'm not excited by winning them as much as i would have been 10-15 years ago. That's what this level of success does i guess. My teenage self in the 90s would not be able to process it.

Thanks for the info mate. Anything over 20k is a blue army to me. Loads of time for more sales too.
This is the thing, imagine in a hypothetical situation West Ham couldn’t fill the London Stadium, and decided they were going to offer 20,000 tickets in an expanded away end, with City being the first game they did it.

If we then sold that out and took 20,000 down for an away game, we’d be getting endless praise off the media and other fans.

This is essentially an away game, playing Championship opposition, who we’ve played recently a lot, in our 32nd time at Wembley in 15 years, with two Wembley trips 3 weeks prior and 3 weeks after.

If we get 25,000 plus then it’s a great attendance in my view. Nobody else and I mean nobody else would sell a ground out as often as we have 200 miles away.

Manchester Marathon this Sunday and hotel prices are £200+ more than usual for a Saturday night.

It looks like we have sold close to 20,000, probably sell another couple of thousand between now and the game

I was extremely happy for us to win the League cup this year, especially after winning nothing last season. I agree, we have to win the title or champions league every few years but there are only 3 domestic titles on offer, so for me the cups are very important.

It’s not like the first time. Social media frenzy, rag armchair abuse, city fans rising to the bait.

Game finishes, back to business.

I do think the club could have helped with coach costs for families to be honest but they are now only interested in making money, not giving it away!

We are quite a big world wide club now.

We do have our fair share of glory seekers.

You’d think for a trip into London, catch a ‘Ciddy game’, experience Wembley, our foreign brothers and sisters would lap these types of game up and boost crowd numbers.
