Seat Counters 25/26

In what way have we been treated like shit? The last 10 years or so are some of the best I have of watching City for decades. My ST is not the most expensive in the league. Please give me a clue on what upsets you so much.
I will give you a clue, in fact i'll give you 11:

- Extortionate Matchday Ticket Pricing
- Selling Tickets to Tourists and Daytrippers over loyal fans via 9 3rd party tout sites
- No new Season Tickets released for 7 years
- Constantly failing to give the agreed 60% of away allocations to points.
- Draconian Ticket policies which make it overly complicated for fans to pass their tickets on to other fans
- Failure to even acknowledge the hardships face by our fans in that Istanbul Car Park
- Over zealous stewarding, by underqualified 'stewards'
- Wasting the long term potential of the new north stand to make a quick buck
- Instead of condemning the scousers after a young girl was left with life changing injuries, they released a joint statement condemning both sets of fans
- Attempting to charge our disabled fans for matchday parking.
- A guilty until proven innocent approach to matchday sanctions

So how has any of that affected you? I have sat in the same seat as an ST since we moved into the Ethiad and have had no problems at all.

Apathetic or can’t afford to get to Wembley 3 times in 8 weeks or possibly have families where they can’t be constantly away all weekend following City?

Have you attended every Wembley trip for the last few years?

yes, every single one, my mortgage is paid, but my work is incredibly slack at the moment, i don't begrudge anyone not paying 70 quid upwards, and when all the cheap seats have gone then there is no arguement, but i was chatting to someone last week at Chelsea, absolutely minted and lives an hour from wembley and he said i just cannot be bothered

Obviously I don't have access to the exact data, but every bit of anecdotal evidence shows that people have been leaving in droves.

- Matches not selling as well as a few years ago
- Everyone knows someone who's stopped going, but no one seems to know anyone who's started going
- 10 years ago I was surrounded by Season Ticket Holders, now there's only the couple next to me left.

A good exercise for the club to do would be to look at how many Supporter Numbers attended 5 or more games in the 2022/23 season, that haven't attended a single game this season.
A lot have simply grown old but I know plenty of their younger families who have started going. We have never had higher attendances in our history. There is a natural demographic shift happening and Greater Manchester itself is one of the fastest changing areas. I am sure some have been priced out but I doubt this is the major factor. The world is changing whether we like it or not.

Good luck, 74 left
Thanks to you and others for the count, just got one for Everton at 4pm.

Chuffed to bits, lived in the area of the ground for 5 years in the 80s so looking forward to visiting some of my old haunts although a lot of the pubs have now gone.

I'm very fortunate to be pretty well off and have a ST with a decent amount of points. However I'm not one of these 'I'm alright jack' types.

These problems that I've listed have all affected blues deeply, and one day it could be something that affects you or me. I would hope that if that day comes then others would raise their voices and stick up for us, rather than not bothering because it doesn't affect them.

Its a good exercise to do but it comes from the position of wanting to retain your fan base.

Unfortunately actions by the club speak louder than words, Ive been a season ticket holder for 45 years and only 2 things make me stop making this my final season, my 2 lads and the fact City wouldnt not give a shit if I did.

Im determined to outlive this current regime, 35 years of mostly shite football did not get rid of me and they can continue to treat me badly but I wont leave now.
Entitled as fuck ! This regime ? I take it you were pro swales ?

Right so because you’ve paid your mortgage and one minted bloke at Chelsea couldn’t be arsed, our fanbase is apathetic and can’t be bothered?

It’s almost like you don’t consider the circumstances of what lots of people are in.

We’re going to take about 25,000, having already taken about 10k more than that a month earlier and we’ll take about 8k more than that in a few weeks time (if we hopefully beat Southampton).

You’re looking at about 90,000 Wembley tickets sold by City fans this season, for games within a 8 weeks of each other.

I have been going 63 years,
I just cannot remember the Club owners rolling out a red carpet for me in the first 50 years of those.
Now I have a great view, a wonderful team to watch, the best Coach in the World. Far from the most expensive tickets. A Campus that will be World Class by next season.
The only small thing that disappoints me is the atmosphere. And on occasions, that is also good.

My advice to some is;

"Don't let the Old Man in "

i am negative because i have seen how apathetic so many are
I’ve been to every Wembley trip since 1976, except Gillingham and 1 Charity Shield game.
I’m not doing this semi, or the final should we get there, primarily due to bad planning and expecting the final to be after the last game of the season, so I’m on holiday‍♂️
It’s also taken me a week to get over the Carabao Cup Final trip, as I’m an old barsteward, riddled with arthritis and, part of me can’t be arsed driving and being on my feet all day, I’ve never felt like that about a match before!
But, the real big killer for me is, football has turned into a circus and, is why many can’t be arsed, loads are falling out of love with it.
A few seasons ago my Sister, her Partner and my Dad, who turns 90 this year, gave up their season tickets, because they’d fallen out of love with it all, collectively, they’ve had season tickets for over 140 years.
I can afford to go to every game, home, away and abroad should I wish (I have the loyalty points too), but it’s primarily home games for me now, I’ve played my part since the early 70’s, I don’t like the way football has gone and normally I’d have felt like I’d lopped a leg off if I missed a match, particularly a semi or final.
There’s way more to it than being apathetic for many.

of course there is, and i don't disagree with any of that, maybe i am old fashioned where i think there should be droves of younger fans up for a day out in the capital on the beer cheering City to a final, in my minds eye City's support is Villa Park 81 Ewood Park promotion, taking 14000 to Stoke. I thought the buzz of beating Arsenal, then Liverpool and Chelsea would create a wave of optimism, a chance for another treble, i also thought fair enough for lots it's difficult and expensive but i thought with the supposed huge support we have loads would take up the slack, lots predicted a sell out and many in excess of 30000 but we are a long long way short, yes wembley is a ballache but it also a good day out if you make it one. It is what it is, it's only a forum, people will always disagree, my frustration is not with individuals i thought our collective would take the weight, it shows we still have a long way to go, anyhow they have opened another block for anyone wanting some cheap seats

Age, catches up with most.

Even Pete the Blue doesn't make every match.
