Sounds like it could end up like Wembley with people sitting down in standing areas.
Opened up to all Cityzens members now, though they haven't advertised it yet!City could have criteria opened up by now to all match day members who’ve attended a previous game. Then season card holders could have the option of buying a second ticket after lunch.
They should have realised what was going on this season, the risks were clear as day for anyone to see, but they keep making the wrong decisions on pricing and criteria. I’m actually sick of them getting it so wrong, someone should be accountable for it.Couldn't agree more.
And I predict for season 27/28 they will be selling full ST and chasing new signups as they realise (slowly) what has gone on
You need to log on separately onto the ticket section of the website. I always get this message on my iPhone.I’m tempted by a ticket for the Villa game. Gave up my ST this season but as someone said, I’d like to be there for Pep’s farewell.
However, when I log in it still says ‘restricted sale.’ Is there a criteria I’m not aware of?
Sure I’ve got enough points and am a match day member.
They’re absolutely hopeless. I genuinely think they should appoint a dozen regulars in this thread and we’d do a far better job and get the place filled.I had to sit on hold for an hour and a half to buy two tickets yesterday for my boys and it turns out that even though they were members they had joined before (or after) a specific date. They were season ticket holders before that without a gap. I wasn't even sure what he was apogiising for . I sat in a queue for ages, spent 20 minutes fucking about trying different ways to buy tickets, spent the rest of the working day with my phone playing that irritating hold music just to be granted the privilege of parting with my £90. Over 2 hours of arsing around. Many others would have fucked it off.
What the fucking hell are the club doing?
The fans will get blamed for it, Pep will be disappointed and the directors won’t give two fucks.Gonna be a right shitshow with 2500 empty seats in the new stand
Yeah I just put one in my basket and its not complaining like it did yesterday...they must have opened it up to allow members to buy more than one?Opened up to all Cityzens members now, though they haven't advertised it yet!
In fairness I think Khaldoon will raise questions as to why it will have empty seats, given he pushed to get it open as soon as possible. The fans will get blamed for it, Pep will be disappointed and the directors won’t give two fucks.
Surely everyone is used to differential pricing by now. It applies to every other walk of life. Sometimes booking early costs more but you secure your seat. It’s the same for hotels, airlines, etc. i think £56 is too high but have no problem with ticket prices being slashed at the last minute. I would be happy with selling them to local postcodes in Beswick and surrounds for £10. Just sell the bloody tickets.I’m sure they will sell if it opens up to all members today Tim but I just can’t fathom why they didn’t have that criteria ready to go yesterday “in case tickets remain”, especially as the match is now only 2 days away.
The ticket prices are another discussion and while I think they’re too high, 3500 fans bought them at that price in the new stand the other week so I guess they wouldn’t be too happy if this batch went on sale at the cheaper price, not to mention all the other members who bought tickets elsewhere in the ground at that price. They could’ve at least sold the safe standing tickets in the new stand though at a cheaper price.
I'd call it dynamic pricing, rather than differential pricing, and for me it's a no no for sporting events and concerts. That said, the safe standing seats in the new stand could've been priced lowerSurely everyone is used to differential pricing by now. It applies to every other walk of life.
