Seat Exchange..

Furthermore, whilst the difference between the selling price and the purchase price is shared with the Club to pay for the operation of the service, the portion retained by Seat Exchange also goes towards offsetting the significant sponsorship fees we pay to support the Club as an Official Partner.

Seat Exchange also contribute to the Club through our sponsorship fee, by sharing revenues from the secondary ticketing service itself, facilitating additional concession revenue from seats that would otherwise be empty, and increasing Seasoncard sales and renewals.

SeatExchange,

Using our money to pay for your sponsorship agreement is a poor excuse. You pay that money as you recieve a business advantage from advertising your brand and selling your services. Why you are using the excuse that we must help fund your advertising is unclear to me.

The point of the original user's post, is that he did not recieve a fair price for his ticket. 'Fair' is determined by market value, and £4.43 is far below the market value of that particular ticket. If anybody apart from yourselves were to sell a ticket for this price, they would be labelled a tout. I will never be using your services, and would go as far as disencouraging my fellow season ticket holders to do so. If they cannot attend, then they can pass it on to a friend instead of continuing to support your advertising.

Thanks,
Damocles

The whole thing sounds dodgey to me.

I am not legally allowed to sell on my ticket but a third party can, and pocket a considerable some of money as well.

Will not use them and will recomend that no one else does either.

It's because they are recognised by City thats the reason. It's stupid but someone on here could be done for touting despite selling tickets for face value same as those that do it in the pubs before a game the quicker the law is amended the better.

Wow, you guys are real knights in shining armour, aren't you?

Using OUR money to sponsor OUR club? I can't believe anyone from SeatExchange has actually authorised you to say something so utterly stupid.

I can't beleive a £5 ticket is being allowed to be sold for £46. That is ticket touting to the extreme and it doesn't matter if it is an official partner or not, it doesn't make it right.

Have you got Bobby Charlton on your books?

i have just listed and sold my daughters ticket for man city v arsenal
you list it as £46 and sell it for that amount
i get £4.43
why cant i get a bigger percentage of the sale or why cant i list it as a junior ticket
its a joke and i would rather the seat be empty than use you as a legal ticket tout!!!!,thats all this site is
i thought it was a good way to fill the stadiums rather than leave seats empty
I did not want to make money, but you get £40+ i get less than £5,touting is illegal,or i thought it was???????

Seriously mate, get on to the club about this, as a 800% markup is a fucking disgrace. It's like me selling my ticket for £450.

I was going to use them this season as I will be missing a few games through work and moving away from Manchester I think I will just leave my season ticket with my mate to pass on for the games I can not make

People are in business to make money..They offer a service for a profit .... if they dont make money they go out of business... and the service will cease...
I like the service..it enables people to go when demand is high... it stop seats being empty in the stadium..

West Ham have only taken the lower tier so that will dampen demand still further
Yeah, I can't imagine many of them are willing to do a monday 8pm kick off which is on ESPN anyway. Oh well.

Well said - not a surprise this is a game where alot of "loyal" seasoncard holders will be looking to exchange!

Strikes me that both City and Ticket Exchange know exactly whats what here, and are complicit in official touting. I never liked the idea, and fortunately have a good enough list of family, friends, and "contacts" to get rid of any matches I can't attend, and before anyone whinges, I have never once charged face value or above, never once, only ever less than face value.

I'd encourage anyone who can't attend to be sensible, and try and find a suitable blue who can help, rather than pay this "official" partner to do it on your behalf.

City if you read this topic, you need to sort this nonsense out its outrageous.
