Is this tongue in cheek? Can't tell. If not it amazes me how attached people get to their plastic blue seats which look like ALL the other plastic blue seats in the ground.

are you for real? I assume the poster is sitting with family/friends and to be moved away from them is fucking bad news and he has a right to be pissed off
edit - maybe bugsy has no friemds, hence he cannot understan this?

Maybe I'm misunderstanding but they aren't going to move you to the opposite end of the ground are they? I presumed you were staying in the same block, give or take one or two, so the friends you've made you will still see before and after the game. You can have a drink with them in the ground. And you'll make new friends in your new seat. No?

it's not my seat, but the point is if someone is sat next to their family or best mates then being moved is going to piss them off; if you had any friends or family who actually liked youthen you would understand this. No?

Re: the three new rows, I presume they are going to dig down again as they did to make level one and then relay the pitch. Maybe I dreamt this

I've heard it is so they can install City Circle, or City 3/4 Rectangle around the pitch!

Only joking of course, however the slap dash treatment of fans is the way the club is going. Even sadder is the fact that for a little thought and better communication the impact of these changes can be softened.

The problem is of course now being that the club employ too many people who sit in offices who have utterly no idea how daft ideas can cause chaos for the fans.

Could the removal of the aisle seat in 109 be due to the location of standing section?

I'm on an end in 104 and I must say I don't wanna move unless its three rows back to keep dry

Is the standing section being implementd, as in a safe standing section?

If not, we have been stood up for as long as i can remember so can't see where that comes in to it.

And as for the person not being able to believe people's attraction to the blue seat, it's the peopel around such as friends and family that are the issue.

and its not the front row, but three from the back...so if we all move to stay together, we are likely to get wet, not have such good access to the bars/toilets etc.

Like is said, they must have known about it before we renewed, but didn't mention it. The club is going the way of the rags and doesn't care about the fans anymore, just the egos of players!!!!

I've been saying we're turning into the rags for a while, the 10% rise followed by the 11% rise in my ST proves that, average earning working class Mancunians are being priced out, it''s exactly the same as what they did

The whole front row all the way round the ground is going as well for this season, so they can add 3 more rows in front of it.

Is that official? Because I sit on the front row of CB L1 and have not heard anything about this. Where have you heard this?

Got a letter from the club today , just read again and it's only east stand south stand and family stand , so you will be ok but 3/4 of the ground won't

Phew, thanks shinpads, I was contemplating asking the club to move me 3 rows forward!! :-) I sit on the front row so that I can sit down and not bother anyone else because of my back problems.

I guess they won't be doing it on CB because of the dug outs (are they really still called that!!) and the fact that the players warm up in front of the stand.

Just doing a google on stadium expansion, I came across this

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=1568058" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=1568058</a>

It seems to be a bunch of architects talking about the expansion from its initial conception to present day. Boring yes, but theres some great pictures, artists impressions and technical plans in it. Worth a look if you're staying in this Friday night.

RE the front row seats - official planning permission says this

"The lower tier will accommodate an additional 2,000 pitch side seats which will consists of 3 extra rows. This will be achieved by re-profiling the pitch run off and stepping the new rows down below the current ground level."

http://www.manchester.gov.uk/downlo...BCK0aPCTD6F_L-w&bvm=bv.67720277,d.cWc&cad=rja

Not sure I would want to sit with my eyes at pitch level as surely the advertising/cameras will spoil the view - and those front 3 rows will definitely be unused in Europe - I sit in row H behind the goal, and have to stand to see the goal line over the advertising boards.

EDIT - I can't find the 'drawings' online, but my bet would be that the club will be covered by the "you had chance to take part in the consultation" line :(

This what you're after ?
