Seats Being Removed

This video explains the process of building the 3rd tier and the stages that go with it.

What has come as a surprise to me is that when I renewed my seat there was no mention of my seat being at danger then suddenly 3 days later my seat is ' done away with'.
The annoying part is I don't think I could be further from the alterations if I tried. I am in an aisle seat on the back row of block 104 east stand level 1 !
I rang yesterday to see if I could have a detailed seat plan of where I may be able to move to & was told they didn't have one so when I ring on Monday it will be a little bit hit & miss as to where I get. All my mates / people I have come to know will of course be staying put - I can't expect them all to relocate just because I have been moved.
I think in the scheme of things it would not have been too much to ask that we were forewarned that seats so far removed from the 're build areas' were going to be removed on a permanent basis.
I am not looking forward to the bun fight there will be on Mon morning !

Is this tongue in cheek? Can't tell. If not it amazes me how attached people get to their plastic blue seats which look like ALL the other plastic blue seats in the ground.

are you for real? I assume the poster is sitting with family/friends and to be moved away from them is fucking bad news and he has a right to be pissed off
edit - maybe bugsy has no friemds, hence he cannot understan this?

Maybe I'm misunderstanding but they aren't going to move you to the opposite end of the ground are they? I presumed you were staying in the same block, give or take one or two, so the friends you've made you will still see before and after the game. You can have a drink with them in the ground. And you'll make new friends in your new seat. No?

No - it could be anywhere in the ground - my brother has spent 3 years getting to where I was seated now I have to move.

Apparently my uncle has received this letter today and we sit in 102. It's a joke that this wasn't mentioned BEFORE he renewed. Looks like me and my little brother will be sat away from my uncle next season

What i find ironic is the fact that those who are getting moved are effectively becoming Value Gold without the cheap £299 bargain price tag.

If I was you I would ask for a refund!

The RIGHT thing to have done would have been:

1) Identify all season ticket owners in the affected seats BEFORE renewal.
2) Contact them to explain the situation and the need to relocate them.
3) As a one off gesture, offer them 10% discount off any new season ticket - and allow them to choose a seat (for one season only). So they can upgrade or downgrade as they deem fit with a 10% discount on their choice.
4) Revert back to normal once completed.

It's not rocket science and I'm sure most people would have been happy with that.

In the situation where people NEED to remain together (father / son etc) then again, they could have explained the situation and if two seats are not permanently available all season, they could still explain that they'd offer adjacent seats (but different sets for different matches) at a discounted price. Effectively a discount for the inconvenience (say 20% off).

It's probably a bit of a headache for the club, but not an insurmountable problem.

The only reason I can think you would be required to move then could be for disability access which is at the back of level one. Bobbins how they've handled this. I hope you get sorted on Monday fella.

I sit in an end seat in block 109 in the lower tier of the east stand. My young lad sits next to me. This is the 1st I have heard about it. If I don't get a letter Monday morning I will ring them. They will have to move 2 of us. Been in them seats since we moved from Maine road & got to know the people around us. love the position we have in the ground. But what happens if they move us to a higher price bracket seat. Do we have to pay more or a cheaper seat is it less?

I sat on the front row for the first and last time last season and can't for the life of me see why people might like sitting there. All you see is a mass jumble of legs with a ball pinging about in between, and all the while getting battered by the famous Manchester rain and sleet. The mind boggles how they are going to put another three rows lower down towards the pitch, you'd have to have a neck like a Giraffe to see anything!

You SC holders that have to relocate will now know how we felt when we were kicked out of the North Stand. Amazingly there was little, if any, sympathy. Just the attitude, great, I don't have to move. Not surprisingly that is the feeling I have now. You are lucky, you probably will be able to stay in the same stand.
