Seats Being Removed

I sat on the front row for the first and last time last season and can't for the life of me see why people might like sitting there. All you see is a mass jumble of legs with a ball pinging about in between, and all the while getting battered by the famous Manchester rain and sleet. The mind boggles how they are going to put another three rows lower down towards the pitch, you'd have to have a neck like a Giraffe to see anything!

agree with this. I'd never sit on the front row. without the rain its a poor do so when it pisses down its double shit. level 2 right under the covers for me :)

I sit in an end seat in block 109 in the lower tier of the east stand. My young lad sits next to me. This is the 1st I have heard about it. If I don't get a letter Monday morning I will ring them. They will have to move 2 of us. Been in them seats since we moved from Maine road & got to know the people around us. love the position we have in the ground. But what happens if they move us to a higher price bracket seat. Do we have to pay more or a cheaper seat is it less?

If its the first you've heard about it then the chances are you're not being moved. If you do the ticket office refund the difference to your new seat / require payment if you move into more expensive seats.

But customer service is everything these days so if you're not happy write and complain.

Doesn't seem that long ago, you could have a whole row to yourself in the North Stand at Maine road.

You SC holders that have to relocate will now know how we felt when we were kicked out of the North Stand. Amazingly there was little, if any, sympathy. Just the attitude, great, I don't have to move. Not surprisingly that is the feeling I have now. You are lucky, you probably will be able to stay in the same stand.
I got kicked out of the north stand and now I have to move again , it pissing me off that they can't give us any idea where we can move to until we ring up on Monday.

Different perspective.

Close up you feel the pace of the game, the power, acceleration the speed. You don't get the overall view of how the game is developing, but there are advantages.

I liked sitting right behind the goal in the front rows. I used to do that for a while at Maine Rd at the North Stand end. At corners you could hear the players shouting, and the looks on their faces (Andy Dibble always looked terrified).

One of the things I don't like about the Etihad is that the stands are quite far from the pitch particularly behind the goals.

I agree with you Marvin used to sit on row a in 138 but made our home in row f in 137 its surprising how 4 rows makes all the difference and yes we feel part of the game and most goal celebrations are directly in front of us.2 things people probably don't realise about the pitch is how bowed it is and how its uphill from the lower seats

can anyone clarify whats going on, are they taking a row off each side from each block in east lower? their have been a few shifted on here but they seem all spread about in different blocks 'not concentrated together' or is that the way the club is notifying people in some sort of order alphabetical or on the points system, maybe their will be another batch of fans getting the letter this week
just to add this must be affecting quite a few for every one on here who has had the letter there must be another 10 that dont come on bluemoon and complain

The whole front row all the way round the ground is going as well for this season, so they can add 3 more rows in front of it.

Is that official? Because I sit on the front row of CB L1 and have not heard anything about this. Where have you heard this?
They are making it so the crowd is nearer to the pitch.
