They did call in a warning. That saved possibly hundreds. Can't really see ISIS doing that.Exactly, did the IRA target the army staying in the Arndale Centre on a Saturday?

To be fair. If that's the only topic. It just needs a sticky with that comment on the first page as it can't really be added to.It would be nice if we kept this on topic, as it has implications for people going to the game on Saturday, will they need to arrive earlier than usual for example
No mate you just made it up

Also, in a slightly Darwinian way, any **** that doesn't think "security may be a bit tighter this weekend, I'll give myself an extra twenty minutes to get in" doesn't deserve to see the first half any fucking way.
:-)

I'd rather retain the right to bring along a bag, whether it's necessary or not. Whats next, no bulky coats?Section on OS now about added security checks and advice not to bring bags unless necessary etc
Perhaps we should shut the club shop a few hours before the game.Should stop bags being brought in really, if someone cannot manage without their cheese butties or whisky coffee for a couple of hours then its a sad state of affairs.
There is obviously a certain demographic that should be checked on entry to the stadium, that's the white elephant in the room with all this, but I doubt we would have an outbreak of common sense any time soon.
Easy to say if ur local but we come up on the train make a day of it do some shopping then travel back . What are we supposed to do with our things ?Should stop bags being brought in really, if someone cannot manage without their cheese butties or whisky coffee for a couple of hours then its a sad state of affairs.

This is exactly what we don't need to do. We need to continue, as a society, with life and plans and business exactly how we always do. The moment we start changing is the moment these cunts start to win the war. They'll never win in battle but this is how they win, by scaring us all into changing our ways and society. City would lose out on money if we closed the shop early. We shouldn't let these fucking nutjobs stop City earning money!Perhaps we should shut the club shop a few hours before the game.
The thing is, bags and that will be checked this week but come February won't be checked anywhere near in the same way. What's the difference between now and then though? The threat of a bomb in a bag - the way the world is now - is as big on Saturday afternoon as it was a few weeks ago at the last home game.Should stop bags being brought in really, if someone cannot manage without their cheese butties or whisky coffee for a couple of hours then its a sad state of affairs.
