Seeing City fans in public

In the car coming up Frederick Road in Lower Broughton last night about 6.30. Saw a lad in the red/black away shirt. Was on other side of road otherwise I'd have give a friendly beep.

Always nod and acknowledge and had a many a chat with people in pubs with City stuff on here in the Midlands.

Of course we have the added bonus of knowing that we can talk to fellow City fans in the knowledge that they have been \ go to games and know something about football and our club unlike other clubs fans who just buy merchandise ! .....

I never see any yet I have seen 2 in 2 days, one yesterday ib the way back from work and one today wearing the new away shirt in worcester and walking his girlfriend to work. She was quite the looker, good work blue. Crossed the street and just said cracking shirt

How do you know he was walking his girlfriend to work...stalker.

In East Kilbride a fortnight ago,a bloke jogged passed my van in a CITY training top,i smiled to myself then looked to the right, which was a 5 a side pitch and their i saw another City shirt.Didnt see another one after that.

On holiday this year with my nipper walking down the road, he had his City shirt on and we spotted another Blue across the road. We actually crossed the road just to let on to him (the "alright Blue" line was used), weird how you react when you're along way from home and spot another Blue, no way i'd do that if i was in town.

It must be a family thing, letting on that your not alone and proud to show your colours.

Do others fans do this or are we a rare breed?

saw a city fan at amsterdam airport with his away top on wednesday

was a sight to see a fellow city fan in my ends......

My lad was at Schiphol airport Wednesday morning, got me wondering if it was him now but didn't think he had the away shirt, rest assured though he WILL be wearing something City every day he's there.

He lives in amsterdam? This guy was def wearing away top.

Rare to see a city top around here as I said. Alot of moroccans/turks living near me n they tend to wear fake Barca tops with Affelay or Messi on it.

How do you react? As I live in the west midlands, seeing a city shirt is rare, always use the "great shirt that" line. Saw a bloke today in worcester with "Robbo" on the back of the away shirt from last season, made my day.

I always give a smile and a nod and have had some really nice people let on back to me. I've even been walking through Manchester city centre near Piccadilly Gardens and had a MUEN seller start singing bluemoon as I walked passed.

Daughter works at the Tower of London, she told me that one of the Yeoman Warders (Beefeaters) is a hugh blue, and she was telling me the other day he spotted a family of City fans in the queue and he hoiked them out took them to the front and let them in for nowt, saving them about 100 pounds in entrance money. If you are visiting the tower always worth wearing you City kit.
