Sell Petrov immediately!

Jesus Christ. It's frightning how fast we turn on players sometimes. All he did was ask for a bit of clarification on his role and all of a sudden, based on one translated interview he's a troublemaker. He's the definition of an impact sub and I think he'll still see a fair bit of playing time. I hope he stays - Petrov on form is a full back's nightmare.

This is the classic live performance.

It certainly is quality and will forever remind me of the classic Breakfast Club.

Glad to see Petrov's got a few fans in this thread. As stated previously, he can be a full back's nightmare.

he's a great squad player, and he's part of our plans according to Hughes. Hopefully he will end up staying..

I love the guy we were cryingout for him to be fit last season - now some people on here are happy to let him go!!! fairweather fans we can do without. He can tear teams apart and gives us a better away option than Robbie.

We definitely need to keep him. He's our only left footed winger, so he offers us a tactical option, width on the left, that we otherwise would be without. Robinho, Bellamy, Weiss have to cut in because of their preference for the right foot. Petrov will come in useful for us.

If Petrov does leave we should buy Robben, he was so dangerous against England last week. His pace is frightening, like Petrov and Robben would provide genuine competition for Robinho.

I think his game was affected by the injuries he had before he came to City. I was thrilled when City signed him, but immediately disappointed when I saw him play in a pre-season friendly - porto I think it was - and he's never convinced me since then. The Petrov that starred for Bulgaria in World Cups and european Chanionships? is not the player I recognise now.

If we sell Petrov who will replace Robinho when you lot decide he isn't up to it either? I mean, we've played one game now and Robinho didn't score, alarm bells must be ringing and fuck me if you badly translate what he says on the official website it actually reads 'I love Man utd they are better than City'!

Surprise, surprise discontent in our midst

There's no discontent. The whole thing is based on some misinterpreted comments allegedly made in the foreign press. Add to this the fact that Petrov is a sombre bloke anyway and it all equals fans jumping the gun and deciding Petrov has to be sold as he's a bad influence, obviously (I mean now Elano has gone we need to create a new problem for ourselves).

If Petrov wants to leave then fine, I wish him all the best.

There's simply no need for people to jump to such conclusions and it irks me that we're happy to be very selective with what we read in the press and how we interpret it to our own ends.

Sorry mate you got the wrong end, it was directed at the OP. I'm right with you, it only takes 1 missed pass and its all 'get rid'. I've always supported every player, sometimes a little too long...

Petrov is a great player and no don't very frustrated but he isn't the discontent I was referring to.

Sorry mate, I wasn't aiming my comments at you but re reading my post I realise I didn't make this clear :)

Sell Petrov immediately!

That's right - and leave us with no cover apart from a promising youngster with just a handful of first team appearances just as we are trying to find a top 4 finish.

Brilliant idea - pack his bags now.

He always looks so moody though! Benjani on the other hand is always smiling...oh hang on they want him out at any cost too. I'm confused.

Its nice to think that as much as we CAN sell him we dont HAVE to sell him or anyone i order to buy.

Happy place again.

Bump - sell him NOW!!!!! He was shit tonight - he only scored one and was generally lazy.

Oh and he's a moaning bastard.

Doesn't this poster look like a t*t now!

Yea, sell him now, he went and scored the winner at the nou camp... what an absolute t*sser!!!

Seriously though. If he is unhappy, which his body language would suggest he's one hell of a professional
