Sounds a bit dodgy.citykev28 said:now then, let's get down to it. this has bugged me for 13 years. the lad involved will probably see this but let's see what other blues think.
the year that giggs scored the winner in the maine road 3-2 derby, i owed a lad about £25. not much more if more at all. i used to go most homes and a few aways with this lad but i had a season ticket, he bought match by match. he said if i could get him into said derby for nothing, we could cancel what money i owed him. i went to gates on derby day, saw what number stub was needed and ripped it out to give to him. then i went to ticket office and said that days voucher had been ripped out either by accident or robbed in pub that day. they took my book and gave me an emergency ticket for one game only for my seat, the idea being that you needed ticket and book to get in. anyhow, he got in with my voucher and i got in with ticket. job's a good 'un.
fast forward to cup game at home to boro when juninho scored only goal. i was working so relied on this same lad to get tickets for kippax for us both. tickets for kippax that day were £12. the lad phones me the week of the match saying it's a sell out (true) and he had been forced to go to a tout for our tickets and paid £25 each. he knew i'd want one so paid the price.
now here's the crux. when he handed me the ticket, it had his surname on the bottom, remember when they did this if you bought one with your membership?? i asked him why it had his name on if he bought it from a tout (his name not being smith or jones) and he said it must have been a fluke!!!
hhmmmmmmmmmm....................................................
he'll see this and the responses (if any). i see him now and again at matches and still talk as you've got to take a mates word as gospel. but what do others think??

Oh deary me.
I don't agree with selling tickets above face value, but passing it on to the club? That's a gross overreaction, and lacks as much class as trying to sell a ticket for more than it's worth...
