Will never do it - at very worst it would be face value but in the past i have given them away!

I remember getting some 'freebies' off a guy from Sky some years ago that were better seats than the ones i had. So i gave them to a young couple who were stood in the ticket office queue at Maine Road - they were surprised but chuffed to bits, which made my night as i helped out some follow blues, which means more than any amoutn of money for me!

If I weren't going to a match I'd happily do that (and have done).
 
i would certainly help out blues with tickets ect... just look at some of my post over the past 2 days, yesterday i tried to arrange a drive to copenhagen to pick up 4 blues, and then this morning i was attempting some irish blues to get on a ferry as a foot passenger from ireland and i would have picked them up from any ferry port in the north of england. This is what city fans are all about, and i hope with any amount of success that follows, we, me, you us never lose this.
 
Ticket for Schalke summed it up for me. Let me use his seat free of charge so I could sample the atmos in 110 for the Wigan match. Never should we be ripping each other off
 
A fellow blue from here, who I've never met, lent me a citycard for tomorrow at no charge so that I could get an extra ticket. His name is Uwes Grandad.

There might be a few who try to make a profit out of other blues, but there are many others who are a lot better than that.
 
I remember similar things with the doves tickets when you bought the home shirt (not forgetting they were free) they were on e-bay within hours and some blues were charging fellow blues stupid prices. I couldn't make the gig in the end for personal reasons, so passed them on to a fellow blue off this forum the way it should have been for everyone FREE. How I see it were all one big blue family, and I would help any fellow blue out in the same way I'd like to think they'd help me out if I was in need. After all that's what sets us city fans apart from everyone else, we look after each other (or should) friend or stranger.
 
I've had a few tkts from this forum, face value or less, i was gonna do a thread and thank the said people and how nice its been to meet 'em. AllanHarper, Fallowfield flyer, City51,Msix,t-pott,de niro(not met but we will),you restored my faith in human nature. And the guys that offered me a lift against stoke/boxing day-kiran111,1barryconlon,francishenrylee, you are all leg-ends, i salute you all. (Don't think i missed anyone out). i sold my season ticket for the spurs and villa game as im on holiday for 70quid. which works out at face value

helping out a fellow blue always proceeds making a quick buck

It's also a criminal offence. Technically it's illegal to sell them on even at face value, but I remember watching that the cops view on it is that they don't mind the odd ticket changing hands at face value between fellow supporters, which would make the ticket exchange here no problem at all. It's when people are making big sums that they become interested. So if you're looking at making a profit, I wouldn't advertise it!!
 
Before this guy is hung drawn & quartered on here .how much is he ripping a fellow Blue of for .My mates paid £46 for there tickets from the club .getting a pint out of it aint the grearest crime
 
me and my mate went to bolton away in the cup a cple of years ago. we had 2 spare tickets in the city end!

Guess what we saw 2 blues outside asking for tickets and we gave them the tickets for free. They offered us money, the tickets had been paid for but we didn't want anything for them!

Thats the way business with blues should be done!
 
Bloke behind me always sells his ticket on the exchange if he can't make a match but I have never done that - personally I would rather lend my card to family or friends if I can't go - but thats just me.
 
Never been in the position where I have been unable to make a home game, if I was I would prefer to give the ticket to a friend for face value or less but if someone shows a bit of enterprise and makes a few quid to soften the blow of missing a Derby of all games surely it is not the crime of the century?

Lot of talk about treating fellow Blues fairly by selling tickets face value but how fair would an e-mail to the club be with the possible consequences? Smells of a witch hunt to be fair
 
usually ask for a tenner if trying to give away my/my dad's ticket. it's mostly at short notice and, at the expense of sounding soppy, doing someone a good turn beats having a few $'s in my back pocket.

Think he was pissing about when he said he'd posted to the club mate.
 
People do this all the time in the States. My buddy has season tickets for the Phillies and was selling some of them for $1,500 for the world series (they only cost him $250). He had plenty of tickets so he would attend also. He made a fortune considering he had seven games to sell in 2008 and eight in 2009.

I didn't like it but it was hard to argue with him making $10-15,000 a year. I don't think it's right to make a little money but $10,000 is nothing to sneeze at.

I actually had a situation a few years ago when one of the players left me ten tickets for a game and everybody backed out except my brother. I decided to give out the tickets to fans who didn't have good seats or didn't have seats at all. We even gave one to a bus driver who brought a bunch of people to the game but didn't have a ticket himself. It turned out to be a great ploy because they bought us beers all night long.
 
I Think the point with this is that although we would all pay over the odds to go and watch our beloved blues we should always try and help a fellow blue out where we can. Just because someone is willing to pay more than face for a ticket doesn't mean you have the right to charge them so.


That is not to say we should give them away for free because at the end of the day you've spent your hard earned money on them but face value
should be the maximum you should charge.
 
The tickets cost about 50 quid anyway - if you can get one.

And at least he's not selling it to a rag for double the money.

I've never sold mine by the way - I've always given it away. I believe what goes around comes around.
