Semenyo and Guehi subjected to racist abuse: club statement

Disgraceful, hope the pair of them are doing okay.

Hopefully Everton can identify the individuals abusing Semenyo at the game, should be easier to spot and punish.

Unfortunately, the moment Guehi made that mistake I knew he was going to get abuse online, I don't really call the people who do this online 'fans', they're very rarely match goers, rarely in direct contact with the club, not always even living in this country and unfortunately know whatever they do online can go unpunished because social media platforms do piss all about it and in some cases these platforms are implicit.

It's a game of football ffs.

They have identified him .... a 71 year old male Everton fan from Nottinghamshire ..... stupid old tw#t, ought to know better at his age .... hope his missus gives him a good belting around the earhole with her brolly !

How can muckyside police find the racist in Evertons ground, but the same police force cant find anyone from the coach attack or the thug that throw that pint pot ?
Yep, it makes you wonder, doesn't it ? From what i can gather other Everton supporters 'dobbed' him into the stewards or police in the ground.

Their is an old chap ( I'm almost 70) sits behind us at Fleetwood he regularly abuses black visiting players and even are own black players if they make a mistake. We often tell him non too gently to shut up, but if he has not learned better at his age he never will. The stewards are conspicuous by their absence and just not interested. The crowd at Fleetwood is almost totally white as is the town so at least he doesn't upset any black fans. Regrettably their are racist arseholes everywhere but like to think those poisonous attitudes are dieing out ( literally).
It was said at the 1981 cup tie at Goodison Everton yobs where deliberately targeting our sizeable black support. The more things change the more they stay the same
