semi final draw

Away goals on count in Europe as far as I am aware. FA Cup is replay first, then extra time and penalties (no away goals). Carling cup there are no away goal either. Unless they have discreetly changed the rules recently, I didn't know anything about this.

As someone has previously mentioned, away goals count if scores are still level after extra time, always has

Just had a look at the fixtures and if we win the 3rd round FA cup game weekend of 7-8 Jan that will be 16 games in 63 days starting Sat 3 Dec to 4 Feb.

Some big games to juggle in there and the Toure brothers away for a good chunk of games, Yaya will definitely be missed so lets hope we don't get any long term injuries!

Im banking on an easy tie in the FA Cup 3rd as RM will want to rest players after the hectic xmas period. More first teamers can then play in the home leg v L'pool as we play on the Mon night at Wigan after this game so extra rest.

Again, if we get through FA Cup 3rd round and a favourable draw in 4th he could do the same for the 2nd leg, play that on Wed after we've played Spurs on Sun. (Hope they dont play it Tue as 1 day rest again is very unfair) Rest them for 4th round FA cup at weekend and then fresh for the Wed v Everton away.

This is the rough schedule:

3/12 Norwich (H)
7/12 Bayern (H)
12/12 Chelsea (A)
18/12 Arsenal (H)
21/12 Stoke (H)
26/12 WBA (A)
1/1 S'land (A)
3/1 L'pool (H)
7/1 FA CUP 3rd
11/1 LC Semi L'pool(H)
16/1 Wigan (A)
22/1 Spurs (H)
25/1 LC Semi L'pool(A)
28/1 FA CUP 4th
1/2 Everton (A)
4/2 Fulham (H)

How can a player, brought in from another country, be cup-tied? Unless; in the improbable scenario of him having played for another club earlier in the competition, then having transferred abroad, then moved back to England again.

and if he'd played for the abroad team(fair to assume) he wouldn't be able to play for us anyway as you can't play for 3 clubs in 1 season?

True.

So to summarise, Any1aBLUE's entire statement was an ernormous pile of shit.
ha ha - indeed it was, must remember not to have an extra wee dram before asking questions! Mind you, I didnt understand the explanation either - age and alcohol obviously a bad combo...................

we should field a strong team , kenny of course will talk about fielding a team of 11 youth players as he did last night , but of course he sent out at least 10 of his top 16 players

When Do the Toure brothers Go to African Cup of nations and How long will they be gone for?

Cross this hurdle, and the league cup is pretty much secured.

That's the way new blues see things and it's probably true.

Oldies like me can't help automatically thinking 'Christ!' when we read something like that.
