If we get to the final and Wigan do, what will the FA do? Do they discard common sense and give Wigan 31,000+ seats or increase our allocation?
Whoever makes the final, as it could equally be Chelsea V Wigan, then the tickets will be divided up approximately 25000 each for the finalists and 40 odd thousand for the fucking hangers on who rarely go to a football match unless its a freebie

That comment is out of order by a long way.

I was one of those "40 000" and I paid full price, and I've been going to city since 77/78 for approx 20 of those years as a season ticket holder.
don't be so precious, the fact remains the clubs only get 25000 to distribute to their fans

Can't dispute the numbers mate - I'm just tired of seeing this myth peddled that all the other tickets go to undeserving folk who don't pay for them.
I got mine through an allocation to a local Fa and my involvement in kids footy.
Mine and similar allocations all over the country will in general naturally find their way to supporters of one of the two teams - ie. fans of the club

We had to do the same. Just missed out on tickets from the club. Since the. We joined the cup scheme to try and make sure we get tickets in the future. My dad got 2 tickets through work had to pay face value of £120 a ticket and they was in the stoke "neutral" section. At least we got to watch the game and see our first trophy for years.

i have no issue with you ar people who work with football teams within the FA and manage to get tickets at face vale

but the flip side of that coin is people who get them through their FAs or through sponsors and then sell them on and make a huge killing

Cheers mate! 551 :) crackin view up there :)

I was up there for the last semi two rows from the back it's a climb but great view, somehow for the final I ended up pretty much the exact opposite three rows from the front behind the goal! Had atop day both times. Wembley, Wembley it's a shitty place in London that we're never going to see.

Yes that does happen too, agreed.
Although sadly every big fixture, concert etc has more than it's fair share of touts, sell-on merchants and so on

Agreed. Was sat in 551 for the final two years ago with three big West Ham fans sat behind us. Sourced their tickets through the club of one of their kids, didn't care who won the game
