Semi tickets go on sale?

Everybody is missing the point, just because the club made clear that joining the cup scheme made you eligible for tickets before others doesn't mean to say its right, just because somebody tells you that they're going to do something before they actually do it, doesn't mean its right, yes we were given prior warning, but that in no way means that its 100% infallibly the right thing to do. I have no doubt whatsoever that there were circumstances by which people could not commit to the CS this season, but have attended the majority if not all of the cup games like myself. I've said it on here time and time again, all it is, is money talking. Just because you were able to set up a direct debit should not automatically mean you should be guaranteed tickets for a cup final, you could be a first year season ticket holder who was financially secure enough to join all cup schemes and you would be given a ticket before a person with over 10000 points who may have lost their job and just couldn't commit to the cup scheme, in who's mind would that be fair? Money > Loyalty
And a first year season ticket holder has priority over the person with 10,000 points who has lost their job and can't afford a season ticket for all away games as well - because he is committed himself to the season.
I struggled financially for 4 years and my ST was the first thing to go and away games was the second. When I got it back straight I was way down the pecking order due the points I had missed out on for away games despite the fact that it was the only break in 33 years of holding a season ticket. That's the sacrifice you make - just as I sacrificed holidays, eating out and other luxuries during the same period.
Maybe I should have dug out ticket stubs and programmes from all those years and demand to be head of the queue for Derby games because it's not my fault I was out of work - it was Tony Blair's fault.

The only people to whom the cup schemes were open too were ST holders, so have already made a commitment to attend 19 games. The FA cup scheme cost nothing to join but you were obligated to buy tickets to home ties (at relatively low cost). If people could not afford or were not able to attend these home cup games there was always the option to sell on the ticket exchange (Viagogo), so the affordability issue is a bit of a red herring.

Although i agree the cup scheme is a complete fucking scam.. up with the ones we slagged the rags for years about.... but your point is fuckin mental mate... a red hearring..

how can someone buy and resell a ticket they cant affford to buy in the first place ??? Please share the answer with the wider world because im sure you are the only one who thoughg of that.
I imagine most people, like me will be using credit cards to pay for their tickets online so there would be good chance the ticket payment and the subsequent income from the sale on the ticket exchange would occur in the same month (credit period). That way you can keep on the scheme and only attend the matches you want to/can afford to.

Blame who you want for whatever you want mate, my point still stands as I'm not talking about people giving up going to football all together and still demanding tickets for big games, I'm talking about people who don't choose to join cup schemes, who've been going for years and are STILL going now, being pushed down the pecking order by someone who's able to commit to a cup scheme. Its really not that difficult for people to understand.

-- Fri Mar 22, 2013 5:32 pm --

You can only sell your tickets on there if your a platinum member, another scam whereby money buys you more points.

The cup scheme is not compulsory if people could not afford the tickets they could opt out at any time.

And welcome to the football world trying to conform to FFP. Our owner isn't greedy and wouldn't need to make a couple of million to make ends meet. The club need to increase turnover and if this is one way to do it then unfortunately they need to.

Twatini and the cartel are to blame for their FFP idea. No one else.

post of the thread.

Maybe we should all revert to queuing up for 10 hours in the rain and cold only to see the touts jump to the front of the queue at 8.59am and buy loads of the tickets to sell at an inflated value. Every season card holder whether or not they are on the scheme who wants a ticket should be able to obtain a semi final ticket. There are more tickets available for the semi than we have season card holders and that is a fact! The final is a different problem but for the semi, if you hold a season card, whether or not you are on the schem you should be able to get a ticket. Don't forgetas well that we can buy Club Wembley tickets whereas the oppostion can't as they don't know whether or not they are in the semi yet.

We only have 36000 ST holders don't we?

I doubt very much that all of them will be going to wembley for a semi final.

Last time it was our first wembley appearance for 12 years so demand was naturally high an it sold out at about 2500/3000 points I think.

Would be amazed this time if it doesn't go much lower unless the club keep back 5000 for the new breed of fan.

Final tickets would be piss easy to get if we get there and are playing Wigan. You may have to pay a premium but there will be plenty available.

Detest the cup schemes and won't join them and vehemently detest the gold, platinum and superbia memberships so took the gold and have no doubt dropped right down the pecking order. No idea how many points any of us in our house have anymore because it all just pisses me off. Probably not the right thread but just wanted to get it off my chest.
