Phil isn't use to playing in a park the bus team
I am just going to keep posting this.Phil has been poor but we know he can do better, so I expect he'll get the next game. Though if he continues to underperform I can see him ending the tournament on the bench. It's shit for him, but he just doesn't look the same player in an England shirt.
Phil is in his least effective position (bar being put in the back four or goal), has a right-footed left back behind him with no pace and whose only passing ability is a decent cross in to the box, three other midfielders (two of them that can barely pass a BM) that ignore him even when he is free in space 9 times out of 10, and has taken 3 or 4 late racks down the back of his legs after releasing the ball which the referee doesn’t seem interested in stopping (unlike with Bellingham). And he’s having to stay further back than Saka because Trippier is the weak link, Bellingham keeps leaving huge gaps on that left side, and to have any hope of getting the ball.
His been slightly sloppy and wasteful, even so, but it’s difficult to build rhythm and get in to a flow when you’re being kicked, ignored, and misused for 90 minutes.
Player of the Year completely wasted by a waistcoat pretending to be a national manager.
It was always thus.
None have had a good game, good occasional moments but not a game, Saka played for 20 minutes in the first half and was anonymous for the rest of the game. Bowen been the best player this half and he's been on 15 minutes.Low bar if you think Saka and Rice have had good games
Bellingham and all in the back line have been good..rest have been sub-par at best
