Foden being outshone by Bellingham and Saka so far.

Would like him to demand the ball more rather just being on the periphery.

Bellingham needs to.learn to release it quicker. Phil looks like a young kid playing with the big boys at times. He's running about a lot but nothing is happening for him.

I don't think he understands where he's supposed to be playing. It's like Southgate has said to him you're free to drift into space and trippier will provide the width but where ever he goes he's in someone else's spot.

Think Bellingham is a twat but he's looked much better, but I think it's because he's happier drifting into others space whilst foden is self-conscious of it

Im desperate for Foden to do well for England, but it just doesn't work for him...yet.

He’s getting no ball, all up the right side and when it’s up the left or the middle, it’s the Bellingham show, he doesn’t want anyone to have it other than him.

Where is the Phil we watch every week?

Where is the control we exert every week? Once that question is asked, it’s then clear why Phil will always be on the periphery in this England team. With us, because we build up so well, we can get Phil into those central areas more reliably. With England, we don’t advance consistently enough for him to be camped in the centre. He has to do far more of the winger duties for England versus playing for City, despite having the exact same general role. Simple reason… City have Rodri, England don’t.
