It would be great to go back to three strikers, Foden, Aguero and Mahrez. Give us some bite.
Excellent point. A lesser man / woman would have used Clive Allen and Adrian Heath as their example. Its Mel Machin and Paul Moulden all over again.....bet Pep would play Wayne Biggins as well
Might even find a place for Christopher BigginsIts Mel Machin and Paul Moulden all over again.....bet Pep would play Wayne Biggins as well
Winning goal in the CL Final would be a fitting way to bow out.Feel it's in his and our destiny that he's scoring an earth shatteringly important goal for us this season and going at the end of the season (think Vinny).
If you need a goal with 10 minutes to go he’s still probably the best shout. Not trying to dispute he’s well past his best but I don’t he looked a million miles off considering his lack of minutes. Still showed movement that made him a level above anyone else at the club when it comes to goal scoring.I haven't read the thread but if anybody thinks Sergio will ever play for City in any kind of meaningful way they are going to be disappointed. I'd love him to get a scoring cameo in an already-won cup final or league decider or something but there won't be any more than that. Wednesday told the world where we are at: he wasn't picked despite being fully fit and needing game time, and when he came on he was a million miles off the pace.
What a hero but it's over now.

That's probably the best we can hope for: he comes on in a game where we are desperately chasing a late goal and gets an instinctive finish. That would be a fitting finale. Or we get the league sewn up nice and early and give him a game or two. Here's a nice scenario: we get 10,000 in for the last game of the season with the league won and get to give him a farewell, maybe even a goal or two.If you need a goal with 10 minutes to go he’s still probably the best shout.
