Sergio Agüero | Manchester City's All Time Top Goalscorer

He's the epitome of a legend.

Never doubted him for one second and never will. Far too many City fans have done that time and time again.

Lots of people on here as well. Easy to see why most of us have always supported our greatest ever goal scorer!

Untouchable legend in my eyes, cant understand why anyone wants to see him leave our club. For me, Serg will know when its time to go and that will be one of the saddest days ever.

This is why I thought it might get called back as a foul, he sees Mustafi coming a mile away and just times his little bump perfectly so that Mustafi is completely taken out.

I'm glad to see that's actually still allowed though. It's a contact sport.

I think he basically just stood his ground. Knew what he was doing, but in then same way anyone knows what they're doing when they shield the ball. He doesn't push Mustafi, just doesn't get out of the way, and he's allowed to do that. It's still impossibly weak, pathetic stuff from Mustafi. Can you imagine Vinnie being done in the same way? No chance.

He makes it look like he's standing his ground, but makes a very deliberate, well timed nudge, this angle shows it perfectly and it's great physical play from a striker, the kind of thing that a 30 year old veteran knows how to do and get away with.

At the same time, it's completely pathetic from Mustafi. I've just pointed out in another thread that it's criminal for him to not even know Aguero is there. The aim of defending that ball is to stop Aguero getting it, and if you don't know where the striker is, you cant do that.

A good defender would have taken a few glances to see Aguero was there and been prepared for contact, probably put a hand out so he can literally get to grips with him, and make it hard for Aguero to jump as well, because with a 4 inch height advantage, Aguero isn't going to win the ball if the defender is on top of him.

Completely agree. Anyone who thinks that is a foul should start supporting a netball team.

Pep on Aguero: "I’m so demanding with him because I always think he can do better. It's not for any other reason than to help him. We are so delighted with what he has done over the last two seasons, with the goals he has scored and the way he's tried to help us. 199 goals? Wow!"

I'm going to be selfish and say I hope he doesn't play tonight as I want to see him score his 200th goal live against Chelsea on Sunday rather than on TV tonight.

Agreed. I'm not a sentimental bloke but I'll be choked when he leaves, not only because of his contribution on the field and all the memorable moments he's given us, but his association with all the good times since Mancini arrived.

These last few years have been a joy, I really mean that. I'm an old fart, but on occasion I've experienced the kind of pure happiness watching the blues I've not experienced since I was a boy.

very well said I am probably an even older old fart and I feel exactly the same as you, pure happiness and excitement, watching most times exciting football.

I'd rather see aguero get to 200 on the box than watch cech get his 200th clean sheet.
