Obviously this doesn't tell you the whole story. For a start, the players with very good shooting accuracy tend to have fewer shots, suggesting that perhaps they only shoot in particular situations, whereas the more prolific goalscorers are more likely to shoot in difficult circumstances. It also doesn't take into account blocked shots, so a player blasting it on target into a crowd of players is counted the same as someone deftly lifting it over the keeper. And obviously there haven't been many games this season to give an accurate comparison, but it does look like all of our goalscorers are performing worse in front of goal than last season purely in terms of shooting accuracy, but Aguero is actually scoring more often from his shots. Vardy has been one of the most clinical strikers in the league for a while now, but this may be due to the sort of goals he scores, where he's far more likely to clean through on goal than someone like Aguero.
Personally I'd say that the service to Aguero hasn't exactly been great in recent weeks. There have been a few examples where he's made a great run and the ball hasn't quite been accurate enough.
certainly highlights where Jesus is lacking this season that’s for sure.
