Sergio Aguero 2015/16 performances

Was a poor performance from him. In some games he is isolated and gets frustrated, but we had a lot of the ball and there were times when Silva and De Bruyne had to stop to a walking pace because of the lack of options. He made very few runs into space, I can only recall two - one where Silva over hit the pass (haven't said that many times) and the second where he was offside. Need him to be making those runs in behind all game in Madrid if we're to score.

Pepe and Ramos will handle Kun all game if he looks to receive the ball to feet. It's when he's darting in behind that they'll struggle to cope.

Long balls in the air he's a 6ft 6 centre forward do him no favours though do they. How many times did we do that last night??? Did my head in.

His movement was nonexistent last night, not his greatest game but we'll put it down to fatigue as he's been overused the last month.... He shouldn't start Sunday, however, he will!!!

I actually thought his movement was poor last night. There were times near the end where he got involved and looked like he could cause problems. However, most of the night he went hiding, he didn't come and show for the ball and bring others into play, looked almost scared of Pepe and Ramos.

Maybe i'm being a tad harsh but we rely on him so much to score goals (along with De Bruyne), so we need him to step up 2nd leg.

Hes not been at his best for a while if were honest. He played poorly against Stoke as well - Prolly over used.

Not a great game for him. Noticed he complained to physio who came on for Silva about his shoulder/back. Seemed in some discomfort.

It's not just last night. He doesn't have an energy and pace he had year or two ago for some time now and might never have anymore. You just can't see him running continuously and attacking opposition defence when they have a ball like he used to do. It's rare to see him dribbling through bunch of players anymore too. I just don't see that hunger he had in his eyes anymore, he plays with some dumb face most of the time.

I know people will point that he scored lot of goals this season too but almost half of them were in 2-3 games.

WTF

Ilove you too :D

In a more serious note, people who were noticing Silva's or Zabaleta's decline early were being met with WTF, "you're idiot", "you're clueless" and such too. Now pretty much everyone recognizes they're not the players they used to be.

It's hard to be realistic for fans about players they like so much and that have done so many good things for their clubs. Some other think they're the biggest Blues on the planet if they shit all over you if you don't have only superlatives about some players no matter what. I couldn't give less shit about the second group though.

Your last line is mad.

So, he scored 5 against Newcastle and 3 against Chelsea. Let's knock off 6 of those goals and pretend he only got 1 in each of the 2 games. His resulting strike rate would drop from 95 mins per goal to 129 mins per goal. Coincidentally, that is the same strike rate as Harry Kane who has the 2nd highest strike rate after Kun. That demonstrates how fooking good he is. Still.

He is good, I never said he isn't, I wouldn't swap him for any striker in PL. He just isn't as good as he was.

Aguero didn't have a great game last night, but I'm reluctant to criticise him as the service to him was non existent. He's a world class player but our midfield lacked end product and he suffered from that as much as anyone. Hopefully he will get more space in the second leg and we will see the best from him, a rest at the weekend would probably do him some good as well.

I think he is rarely fit or is worried that he's not 100%.

Last night he sometimes dodged situations which would require him to jump with a defender. I wonder if that's because he doesn't trust himself jumping or landing in certain situations.

Some of the injuries he has picked up have been shortly after he's skinned a few players for pace. Again I think that on some occasions he is not running at full pace.

I don't think it's because it's gone. I think he's either protecting an injury or worried he's about to get one.

Seemed to be clutching his shoulder a lot, 1st half. Was having words with physios, when Silva got injured.
He'll be back for the return, i'm sure :)
