Sergio Aguero - 2016/17 performances

He's doing exactly the same things he was doing at his peak. Just lost a ridiculous amount of pace due to injury, he'll still get goals due to his sheer quality but never reach the level
he was once at.

Because he's never where he needs to be. There was one incident where we were attacking down the right. The ball was cleared and we moved it over to the left but Aguero was still on the right hand side of the field, just outside the Everton box, instead of moving into the middle and looking for a ball in. Sterling wasn't great today but he never hides, always looks for the ball and takes it on. The whole point of Pep's philosophy is to create numerical superiority yet you've got a key player in the last third who's yards away from the action.

To me pep has him getting involved in play too deep and is losing his effectiveness as a striker,i think it's the system and not him

When the only competition for your place is Kelechi you can probably do what you want. We dropped a right bollock going into this season with the strikers we have. I agree though he is not in the right places. Those three chances fell to him today and I would have been confident 2 would have been in the net.
 
Spurs used to be his fav opponents,bet he'll have a shocker on Sat.Been on the decline since he started playing alone upfront though.For 2 years or so now.Injuries haven't helped also.
 
If someone would give us £50m for him I'd throw in a free airfare too. He was once a true great but like so many other City ex greats of 3-4yrs ago he is well into his decline. Aguero, Silva, Yaya, Zabba all peaked 3yrs ago. They can all still do a turn against shit teams like West Ham last week but against the best they just can't cut it anymore. With that in mind, what the fuck are they still doing here.?

Unfortunately, that red nosed twat from Stretford had it right. Sell the Stella players as soon as any hint of decline begins. Keep it fresh. No ones allowed to stay if their legs have gone. Look where that got them. Oh yeah. At the top for 20 fucking years unfortunately.

Go on, someone tell me I'm wrong.
