thats something that scares me with him....what happened to the cannon attached to his right foot? I mean we all know he has lost some pace but the last game showed he's not the player he was 2 or 3 seasons ago....those saying that aguero couldn't score 40 for us in a season are ridiculous, he should lead the league in goals by some margin

To be honest he should be on 20+ goals for the season easily. The amount of chances he's spurned this season is borderline ridiculous.

yesterday alone he should have had 3 but I agree he should already be on at least 20-24 by now and I don't think either of us are being completely ridiculous

Grow up. There's not a single City fan who doesn't love Aguero for what he's produced. Unfortunately I'm not sentimental enough to get upset about people (myself included believing he should leave), he's been a great servant but isn't up to the standard we need.
Don't talk fuckin bollocks.

You rarely see matches where strikers are so clinical that they would convert good opportunity's at a 1:1 ratio or even 1:2 ratio. 3 chances for 1 goal afaik is more the norm. Granted even from that perspective i didn't keep count of how much goals he should have got by now.

My observation however is that we are simply creating a load more chances this year than we did in recent years with Sergio, and scoring a lot more goals obviously too. You'd think that with the added volume of chances he really should have more goals to his name than in previous years, but again i see many of those chances falling to wingers and other players for various tactical reasons. Goals, assist and chances seem now much more distributed among forward player, even Silva has a lot more goals now than he had previous years.

To me, it seems the product of a sort of total football system where it's not so much the duty of the striker anymore to score goals but for about all forward players equally. In the past the team would have relied much more on Sergio for the end product. But then perhaps the chances given to Sergio back then were better ones whereas now we would rely more on a great volume of chances even if they arn't always the best and then count on getting numbers in the box to have more of a chance to convert those. It seems also typical when having a guy like KDB in youre team that you are gonna get a greater volume of more difficult to convert chances which isn't an issue as typicly KDB is providing chance after chance and that shows in the score but you also see that often players have it difficult to convert those so the impression remains that a lot of chances that KDB provides are wasted.

And then i observed last match that Sergio was getting a lot of chances from KDB and wasting those in particular. The chances KDB provided were good but challenging to convert. KDB for himself had a hand in all 3 goals last game and even forced off a own goal so as usually he proves the value of his style, but i don't blame Sergio for a number of untaken chances that were provided to him by KDB.

I've been critical of Kun is recent weeks but to claim he isn't up to the standard we need is nonsense.
