Scoring penalties doesn't make you an effective striker. If we just wanted someone to slot home penalties and do nothing else, we could just play Yaya up front.

Your complete inability to hear anything said about Aguero really is quite pathetic, constantly sniping in the match thread at anyone who dare complain about a mistake or point out he wasn't playing well. Are you a City fan or just an Aguero fan?

It is possible to love the player and still comment and discuss why he isn't playing brilliantly when he isn't.

Serge doing what Serge does best and always has done, scoring goals. Reading some of these pages has truly shocked me, the kid is a legend and a world class goal scorer. When he goes we won't see someone like him again, so enjoy it whilst it lasts, hopefully another couple of seasons. He has changed his game to suit Pep and yet each other gets accused of not getting on. Serge lets his goals do the talking. Keep it going son, you are and will always be a City legend.

Only just seen the MOTD coverage of the game and the focus on Gundogan/Aguero communicating for the 1st goal. Kun seemingly disinterested and masking his intentions by fiddling with his socks before dashing into space was a thing of beauty. Brilliant.

Thought Sergio had an outstanding game. Aside from the goals his work ethic was phenomenal. Really liked the way he moved out to the left to give Sané a breather to compose himself after a very poor few minutes of overhit crosses and missed passes. Took the pressure off the kid who paid it back with a goal & an assist. Some fans just don’t see what a special player he is and how his game has changed under Pep from the roles he had under Mancini & Pellegrini.
Hope his limping off at the end isn’t anything serious.

You tell ‘em Karen. Thought he was immense yesterday, not just in his goals and his work ethic but in the way he supported Sané through his bad patch in the second half by moving out to the left wing. Took the pressure off Sané who repaid it with a goal & an assist.

Sometimes in life we only really appreciate what we had when it’s gone. I’m making sure that I appreciate Sergio now while we still have him. World class and the best striker we have ever had (and I’ve followed City since 1967).

The football we are seeing is breathtaking at times and every player makes a contribution. Every player can make a mistake and every player will have games when he is not at his peak. If we can just accept that we can marvel at the moments of genius and allow them to still be human.

This is the best City have ever played in my lifetime as a supporter and my innner child is absolutely loving it !
