I love Aguero. Are his powers and prowess slightly waning? I think maybe so. As much as I love the guy for what he has given us, does Serge have to just bang it in the net like he did in the past for us rather than thinking about it too much?

Embrace him.
What a player.
We are lucky enough to watch him play for city week in week out.
Well those that go ......
You can see his passion when sterling scored.
One of the best strikers ever in this league.
And I'm glad he plays for city
And will become our all time goalscorer this season along with becoming the prems non european all time scorer , legend

I just love his passion and fight. He isn't as good as he once was for me but he is a fighter.

With these kids and lightweights in the side we need lots of fighters and he is one of them.

Don't think it's fair to criticise him to much. He's never kicked up a fuss and he's almost our leading goal scorer. I don't think he fits in the system pep wants, but that doesn't mean he won't score goals. I do think he will be leaving at the end of this season though.

And what a sad day that will be..........he would walk into any side in the world , I feel so lucky to see him in sky blue

Disagree , only just turned 29 people writing him off far too early

I love him, he will still score shit loads of goals at top level for a few years, but I'm just saying he wouldn't get into any team in the world now. A few years ago, he used to go round players for fun, you hardly see him do that now, lost a bit of pace that made all the difference. He's had spells which he's been unplayable. I think one was in pellegrinis first season, no one could stop him in the first couple of months of the season, but then he got injured, I think it was against Everton. He's nowhere near that level now, he hasn't been for over a year.

Aguero is, IMO, definitely not past his prime. He'll contribute big time this year towards our title winning campaign.

Aguero does need to adapt his play style though - counter-pressing is a must in Pep's system; in the past, Aguero did not consistently participate in pressing, but this year, I see him immediately pressing after a turn over.

Although I think that Jesus fits Pep's style better - better at ball control/linking in tight spaces - Kun is more than adequate, is not a trouble maker, and clearly wants to remain in our side.

I wouldn't trade Kun for any PL striker.

Perhaps the biggest missing element in our team is an attacker, able to dribble past defenders to create chances from nowhere. Sane, on the wing, can beat players for pace; Sterling, on the wing can beat players for pace and sometimes for dribbling skill; but centrally, we don't have anyone.

Teams will pack it in on us, and although we'll get plenty of good crosses from our full/wing-backs, the benefit from this is dampened because our strikers aren't massively dominant in the air and because ground-crosses will be cut off frequently by packed in defenses.

Someone like Hazzard or Suarez would massively improve our team especially against packed defenses. But this sort of player will likely be signed only next year.

Last season Sergio's start wasn't good enough. He was dropped and if it wasn't for Jesus getting a freak injury would have seen his chances in the first team dramatically reduced. However he got his head down and scored a good few goals. The fitness of the player was his most impressive feature for me. Longest he's played without injury. BUT iirc he didn't score for 9 consecutive games TWICE last season. That is dreadful by his standards. Sergio should have broken the 31 goal barrier at least twice for me and this is his last real chance to go down as the very best by getting that record along with some City one's too. Two games in (along with a not-so-sharp pre-season) and dropped for Argentine in two important matches, he is at a crossroads.

Liverpool would be the greatest way to kick start that goal.
