This is bugging me alot, prior to his rib injury we were singing his praises, stating that he's finally on board with pep's philosophy and he was just getting off breaking the record. Now he's off form, struggling a bit and everyone jumps on his back. Give it time and he'll be back in form and the cycle will repeat.

Welcome to the modern world, people have no patience and despite City being on a record breaking run all it takes is one bullshit article in some no mark tabloid and they're all turning on the club's record goalscorer. Some of the shite I've read today is unreal, people saying he's not had a good game for two years etc. just revisionist bollocks to fit the current narrative.

That same guy you're talking shit about came out with Kun being injured before the English media did. What are you on about?

Oh I hope he doesn't get offended, that would be awful. You're missing the point I think
I havegone back and read most of the thread and there are very few getting on his back. Rather most thought the substitution was justified is all.

And it was!

I am glad he was upset.

Be more concerned if he wasn't.

Not sure what to make about reports of his heel injury but it has to fixed up.

Delph , Gundy , Bernado and Silva have played through pain in the past as well and it clearly effected their performances.

Only injuries for lengthy periods can impact on our season from here on in.

We have to keep the vast majority of the squad injury free and manage those who are well if we are to continue on this run.

Feel that not being able to play 3-5-2 has had a major effect on Sergios goal scoring this season. Kun ans Jesus were scoring for fun then Mendy is injured and we have gone back to playing 4-3-3. Kun is a legend here but Jesus coming on as a sub against Spurs reinforced our attack.

Last season Kun had no competition, so laid back, and goal drought. Pep sparked a fire up his arse is just what he need.

He was justifiably subbed because he slowly through the course of the game reverted to the Aguero of old out of habit. In turn this made him to be isolated. Though it can be argued that had he stayed he might have created something out of nothing because that is Aguero.

Instruction wise, Pep is pushing Aguero to his limits this season and to be fair Aguero is no KDB when it comes to intensity. The way Pep wants the players to work involves total concentration and alertness, even KDB is not immune to lapses in concentration as last season showed. The only player who seems to be the opposite is Ederson who is reactionary.
