He's been pretty average in the big games this season. The only team from the top half of the league he has contributed goals against so far are the might Sheff U. Our best performances away from home have been without him, the exception being Villa away who are in a relegation battle.

Jesus won't start either. Our best performance this season was at Manu ground where we didn't play with a striker and could or should have won 5:0.
Sergio is the best big game striker in PL history, his record is exceptional. Not this season though. He has scored 2 goals against top 10 teams this season. Guess even Van Dijk has scored more. Sergio has been very average in the big games this season. We won't go far enough in the CL if he continues to perform like that.

I can’t see is going any further than the next round. Aguero will start in that game, I’m sure.
Personally, I believe in people who are playing well or not playing well. Taking off anyone on the list of not playing well is never wrong.It was a mistake. Aguero was the only player on the pitch with the character of turning the game around as he has done in his last two league games.
Aguero was in the 'not playing well' least when he got removed. So I have no problem with that. The real problem is that Raz was equally not playing well and on a yellow. Money ball decision there is to take out Raz and not Aguero. Hence why I thought it was a stupid move.
But Aguero was missing chances and running into cul de sacs. So I wasn't surprised.

Pep's doubting him, he didn't start against rags away and I don't think he is starting against Real away on current form Not that Jesus will start either.
It will be a great end to Sergio's career here if he manages to win the CL. We need him in a far better form in the big games.
