Sergio Aguero leaves City after 10 years

We all say shit when we’ve had a major disappointment or feel slighted. A pity but his legacy is bigger than a couple of stray comments.

That is entirely true, but that aside, I honestly don't see anything wrong with his comments.

Usual new signing comments, not arsed really his thank you to the fans he posted tells you what he thought of us.

He can dislike pep and be pissed off at the club tbh, I have been many times but never the badge or my comrades on the terraces

poor choice of comments but still a city legend
what's poor about it?Madrid and barca are the biggest clubs! they've had cruyff, Messi, Maradona, di Stefano etc play for them for god sake, we are not the biggest club in the world and won't ever will be but what we can be is the best football team in it and I'm delighted with that

Aguero is a legend and you wouldn't expect him to say anything different from what he did... but he still shouldn't have said it in my opinion.

If Messi rocked up at City we'd all expect him to say "I'm sad to be leaving Barcelona but excited for a new challenge at another great club"... something like that is all that is needed.

He's sort of pissed all over us with saying Barca are the best club in the world. With Pep, it's different. We know he loves Barca but it doesn't stop him doing a great job with us. What he says about us "not having history in the competition" is to take pressure of the players so that's fine by me.

Sergio didn't say it out of turn or in isolation though. He said it as told by Pep.

That is the problem with twitter quotes turned into headlines, they miss out important chunks of context.

He said Pep told him he was joining the best club in the world, he was happy to be joining it.

Neither am I. His recent penalty miss against Chelsea struck me as a nonchalant 'fuck you' to Guardiola. It was though he missed it on purpose for all the times he's been fucked about by Pep.
Missing a penalty that would have secured the premier league title just to piss off the manager, do you really believe that?

He has already said that he watched Mendy and thought a panenka was the best way to beat him, even if in some parallel universe he set out to miss that pen then I am glad hes gone.

I'm not sure if he meant to score as he tapped it so soft Mendy just palmed it down. Was as though Aguero was taking the piss.

He didn’t say it was a step up, he said it was a step forward, which I didn’t interpret as a negative on us in any way.
It technically is (to him). As he probably know he’ll start week in/out barring any injuries.
I say good luck to our Legend.

Some very very odd people on this forum.
I think the notion that Aguero purposely missed a penalty to piss of a manager is right up there on the oddometer but just behind those crying because he’s had the temerity to big up the new club he’s just signed for.
Get over yourselves, it’s all very needy.

It's quite obvious what he thinks of the fans and has enjoyed his time in Manchester.
I couldn't give a shit if he has a problem with Pep.
Good luck Sire, hope you score loads for Barcelona & enjoy your time there
