Sergio Aguero leaves City after 10 years

Football has changed and we need to recognise that and accept it, we don't have players that are from the local area as a rule we have them from every country and wherever we can get them from, they are not like fans who are associated either by geography or inherited by family links.

Aguero did well for us, he's not a City fan and he's not alone I suspect most players that play in the premier league are not fans of the club they are playing for. Even if Aguero had no feelings for fans and it was just about him and his employers he did what he was bought for. He's someone else's employee now and we move on I wont be getting teary eyed over some misguided thought that he understands our club.

Good luck lad but like every other player at the historic backstabbing clubs, I hope he's playing in a team that crashes and burns.
 
Record goalscorer. He made the definitive moment in our and Premier League history. Can only wish him the best in his new adventure at Barca. He gave us the very best years of his career. All players move on - even legends. I only have good memories of Sergio.

Comments were salt in a raw wound for me but at the end of the day what do you expect him to say?
He is and always will be a city legend, and his contribution is other worldly, undoubtably one of, if not the, beat foreign striker to ever grace the league.

Thanks for everything, you took us to the next level and helped us stay there

In terms of potential game time for him personally, I agree. I meant more he wasn’t saying it as a sleight against us as a club vs Barcelona.
 
If we were to play Barcelona in the CL at The Ethiad I don't think anyone on here would seriously boo him would they? His comments have got under people's skin a bit including mine but I'm remembering all the great things he did for us. I'm not going to let a few words that he was probably told to say to appase the Barca fans get in the way. Good luck Sergio!!!

While Joe Mercer is greatly respected it is King Colin who is loved.
In 40 years time Pep's contribution will not be forgotten but it will be Kun who will be loved and talked about. In the same way Geordies talk about Jackie Millburn, and Evertonians Dixie Dean.
