Sergio Aguero leaves City after 10 years

Somber day, it’s the right time but doesn’t make it feel any better. I saw the other day that he’s slipped to third in the PL goals per minute ratio which is a real shame. Wonder how many he’d have to score to get back to the top of that.

The man has literally brought happiness to each and every one of us that we’ll talk about for the rest of our lives.

How ever do we thank him?

I’m obviously a sentimental old fool but given he came in with a bang with those goals as a sub v Swansea how do I find out the odds of a bet on him scoring as a sub in the Champions League final this season?

So.. with this news and the current situation it appears likely that the last competitive game I will ever see Sergio Aguero and David Silva play for City in a stadium will have been at Wembley last season for a third consecutive League Cup triumph, against Aston Villa.

Given the content of the above sentence, had I been told in Summer 2008 that this was about to be but a part of the amazing future that my club would soon embark upon, I'd never have believed a word of it.

What players we have seen. What a privilege it has been.

Thank you Kun.. and David, Vinny, Joe, Yaya, Ferny, Pablo, Aleks, Carlos, Kevin, Raheem, Gabby, Eddy, Phil, Gundo and so, so many more.

And I hope I'm not being greedy in hoping there may be so many more yet to come..

Not offering a new contract seems to me a difficult but strong decision by the management. We'll never forget what the lad has done for City but even if he has some good months ahead it's time for us to move on.
On the top level we are, we simply need top performances and we need the full squad to attack all titles available.

End of the day it's risk/reward and I back the decision.

Well, I knew deep down in my heart of hearts he would be leaving this summer. I can understand the timing of the news now, with the lack of game time and the speculation around all of that, it was only a matter of time before the press would be hounding everything. It all makes sense, to keep his records and goals per minute as low as possible because he is, in my opinion THE best striker to grace this country and that's not because I'm a City fan, but just look at the stats. Then the injuries he's faced and has come back even stronger from and then to be ignored time and time again for individual achievements by the media, fans, players of other teams etc etc I mean how he didn't end up in the team of the year in the 14/15 season after winning the golden boot was criminal.
Aguero, legend statuses get thrown about far too regularly in this day and age but my, what a legend you are of our Manchester City. A legend of the people of Greater Manchester and beyond who represent Manchester and Manchester City. You have embraced our culture, our way of life in the communities and that in itself brings the status of legend too. You have provided me with so many highs over the years. I for one cannot wait to be in that stadium along with the thousands of blues and the 100s of thousands more across the world watching on the telly to welcome you back in the legendary manor that you fully deserve. Just one thing though, you may well enjoy the football in the sun where ever it is you decide in your next chapter, but you'll always be talking about the rain ;)

One of the most brilliant and professional players to have ever played in England. Sergio I salute you sir!.
