This is absolutely horrendous if it turns out to be true.

It's really not that bad. He's 33, probably had a couple of half hearted seasons left in the game.

He's incredibly lucky this heart defect showed up now and not 15 years ago or in 15 years time when he's away from world class medical attention.

He's had an incredible career and he's got something treatable that shouldn't impact his daily life at all.

He'll go down as one of the best players of his generation, achieved a ton in the sport and made a fortune with which to live out his days however he wants.
