I hope the club give him an off-field role after he retires.

It's a sad end but he can look back at an incredible career and will go down as one of the greatest of his generation and arguably City's greatest player ever. His health comes first and he deserves a happy and healthy life.
If he is the best man for the job whatever the role is. Clubs shouldn’t hand out jobs Willy nilly to ex players because of their status.

Tell you what, Barcelona will be looking at a huge insurance payout?

They put a ridiculous buyout clause in his contract when he signed.

Most clubs are insured against this type of thing happening, but you never know if Barca even paid the premiums.

Sergio also don't need the money, but he will defo have personal insurance.
Now they can buy sterling! Result

I love these posts where people want ex players given jobs for life with us. Ever expanding.

He will be going home not living in England.

No matter what Pep helps our club achieve this moment and his inexcusable lineup selection will always live on in my head
In 8 years after Pep has gone and we've bounced through numerous new managers who never reached his heights, you'll look back on Pep with totally different eyes.

He's going to become our Vieira at Arsenal. The guy that people spend the rest of their lives talking about how they never replaced properly.

Thought that was Alan Ball
