Only get cup tied if you play a game i think, not 100% but he can still play in the champions league with us regardless.

This is incorrect, if he plays for them and they qualify for the group stage he WILL be cup tied for us (we can add him after the group stage if we don't add anyone else). If they don't qualify he will not be tied.
