It all adds up to woeful preparation - combined with procrastination in the transfer market. Scum identified their targets well early and had them in place AND they coughed up some serious cash. We have dithered quite frankly

The club should put together a training/fitness plan that ensures all the players are in tip top condition for the first game of the season, whether this is achieved by insisting players maintain a daily regime in the close season or by having them report back earlier, I don't know or care. We saw last campaign how tired our players were by xmas, and witnessed the ensuing listless performances in Europe .....surely player conditioning is an area that needs improvement particularly for a club like ours with aspirations on silverware. How is it that utd looked a yard faster and in better physical condition ? thats the question I would ask my coaching staff if I were Khaldoon or Cook.
