He looks in really good shape, Cardiff need to worry a very lot.!
Extra special to smash Cardiff now ex rag Solskjaer is in charge and Sergio & the Beast are the men for the job.
Glad you're not manager then! That would be a very harsh way to treat Dzeko and we need to keep him happy if we're to progress in all competitions. The logical decision v Cardiff is to keep Edin and the Beast smashing goals in from the start and introduce Sergio a little earlier, say after 55-60 minutes.

This. I doubt anyone would throw a wobbly

Wouldn't be harsh at all, and it's not "treating" anyone in any negative way.

I think it will be good to build on a 18 minute cameo yesterday with possibly an hour against Cardiff to start building his match fitness back up. Edin can play the last half hour.

And yet it won't happen and shouldn't happen for the reason that you fail to grasp- squad unity is a big percentage of where we are at, taking Edin out now would be like losing a player for the rest of the season, why? Because he needs to feel loved....... Not rocket science

Yeah, i don't really understand why people can't see this either. It's all well and good in the short term, instantly reuniting Negredo and Aguero, but later in the season, when someone has a knock and we need a big performance from Dzeko in a big game... he wont give it because he'll have the hump. This could be the difference between progressing in a competition and getting knocked out. Also, i always feel like home games against Cardiff provide the perfect opportunity to make one or two selections with team morale in mind, as opposed to outright picking the best 11 players. Maybe that's a little bit disrespectful to Cardiff and similar teams, but that's the way i see it and they are the kind of team selection 'risks' that should be taken in such games if we're to truly compete on all fronts.

To me Dzeko has earnt the right to be rotated with Negredo and Aguero and be used in any game as he has played well in a period where we've had to rely on him, he's done his job, improved his work ethic and all round play and yes he was profligate last night but he still played well.

So I think we don't have to rely on Kun as much, can ease him back in and also be more inclined to give him rests, as well as Negredo who has started to look a little leggy with the reliance we've had on him.

I don't know how to post pictures if not I would have posted a picture I saw last season. With an inscription of 'well done Nasri for the goal now get back to the bench'

I think it would be unfair to treat players like that. Edin deserves to start alongside the beast.
That's just my opinion anyway.

The thing is that he WILL be put on the bench at sometime as will Negredo and Aguero. No one can play every game we've got coming up so at some time he'll have to accept being a sub without going into a sulk. I'll trust Pellegrini to handle the squad dynamics.
That said for Cardiff I'd start with Aguero and Dzeko because I'm still sure that Negredo is looking just a little bit leggy. He can always come on for Aguero later on if necessary to ease Kun back in.

Of course he will be on the bench at some stage, and many more times. But the point is that now is not the right time. He's scored 6 in 6 whilst Aguero's been out (i think) and Sergio has only had 18 minutes on the pitch. It's not right to then suddenly start Aguero and have Edin on the bench. It seems a bit disrespectful to do it at this particular moment. Well to me it does anyway.

Most definitely Negredo and Dzeko to both start, as people have stated squad morale and unity is important. Aguero can come on for half an hour, he already has a goal to his name so form is not lost, get him back up to full fitness without simply throwing him in at the deep end and running him into the ground. Lots of games coming and lots that will be more difficult than Cardiff so important Sergio is eased back into things. Dzeko has been working hard and scoring goals - to take him out of the side now would just confirm that he is not valued above Sergio and Negredo and would demoralise him. Then he would be forgiven in thinking "what's the point then". Start him, hope he scores and keeps giving Pellegrini a positive headache!

Sounds sensible to me - bring Sergio up to fitness slowly, 30 minutes on Saturday, another 30 against West Ham and then 45 against Watford. Should have him ready for a good hour against the Spuds.
